I came by this place after an errand to satisfy a spontaneous smoothie craving I've had for a bit. The interior certainly had a bright and lively vibe that would fit much better when the weather wasn't so wet. Sadly, the rain made the sky grey, so I couldn't appreciate the inside of the place much. It sort of blended in with the outside. There was one man that served me, and he looked to be the only one there at that time. Around 11am. But he was nice, greeted me with a smile and seemed happy to take my order and prepare my smoothie. I ordered the Powerberry smoothie and it was quite refreshing (haha). Not harsh. And the banana part certainly stuck with me after every sip. I liked it. May not be a go-to choice personally, but it was pretty darn good. I'll have to come back one day to try more when I'm in the area again! (Sadly not a local to this area)

The acai bowls are actually very good. Unfortunately, the service is abysmal. Not because the worker isn't working extremely hard but because the owner is TOO CHEAP to have more than one person working. Thus, if you come here, prepare to wait along with 10 other customers while ONE employee tries to fulfill orders. This abysmal service has caused me to go elsewhere for acai bowls.

Great smoothies with solid, real ingredients. Been going here on the regular for a couple years. Bree (one of the current servers) always has a smile and makes a consistently good smoothie even when the place is busy.

The açaí bowls here are fire!!!!!! They use bee pollen and oh boy! Its one of the best bee pollen I have ever had in an acai bowl! The service was excellent and fast. Ambiance was so super cute! A whole bunch of mugs and cute merchandise with funny sayings. I think its from local vendors, don't quote me on that.

I love acai bowls so I'm always looking for new places to try them at. R3fresh really hit the spot! The bowls are a good size for the price and taste great. The service was quick as well. They also have a topping that I've never seen anywhere else - cinnamon apples (a must-try).

As a vegan, I would feel comfortable coming here all of the time! So cute inside. The service was a little low energy, but overall I loved it. I wish they had one in Oceanside!

Aci bowl is amazing because it's not watered down like the rest. The sad news is the staff are constantly changing so I'm not sure if the owners treat their employees fair. I have been going for years. Went in today and the Hispanic female with black hair and dark eyeliner was rude and made the aci sloppy and inconsistent with what I've always received... but hey that's females.. that hate is real, it's hard out here for a beautiful woman
holy wow! hands down the best acai in san diego. The acai is fresh and made in house-- tastes so good. You get unlimited toppings, and the staff is always so friendly and nice. If you are on the hunt for good acai look no further.

This place is very simple and easy to navigate. I've been quite a few times, and mostly it's a good experience. I have encountered one employee that literally any time I walk in and I see them, I turn right back around and leave (they're not a pleasant person) BUT everyone else has been awesome.

Updated Review 6/16/23:Despite its allure, R3fresh continues to grapple with significant understaffing issues. I recently visited around 4pm on a Friday, only to find a single staff member trying to keep up with the orders. Unfortunately, the long wait times -- a staggering one hour for a single açaí bowl -- were hard to ignore.The place was bustling with about ten customers during my visit, adding to the pressure. You could almost taste the tension in the air. It was clear that the customers were growing frustrated, as evidenced by five customers who chose to leave rather than endure the long wait.But the wait wasn't the only issue. The confusion over order pick-ups only added to the tension. Without a clear system in place for announcing completed orders, customers were left guessing when their food was ready. The server was calling out only the names of the bowls, not the customers' names. So, if you weren't the only one who ordered a specific bowl, it was anyone's guess whose order was up for grabs (our order ended up being taken by another customer).It was equally apparent that the lone staff member was feeling the strain. The stress seemed to slow her down and she even had to turn away some customers. The pace at which the bowls were being prepared was painfully slow -- approximately two bowls every 20 minutes.It's disheartening to see a place like R3fresh, which has so much potential, struggle with such issues. The overstretched staff and lengthy wait times definitely detracted from the overall experience. Here's hoping they can find a solution soon!

I keep coming back here for my açaí bowl needs. Cute little shop in the same plaza as Common Theory, they have fresh fruit for all my açaí bowl cravings! The bowls are build your own bowl style. I usually just get the small bowl for $8 and that's enough of a snack for me. Friendly service although at times it is a bit slow. But definitely worth the wait!
