The white meat jerk chicken it very dry , the rice and beans had no taste other then water . Oxtails are good but were cold . We ate inside . Paid $70 but never again ! The outside is beautiful however . Felt pretty let down .

I've been here before and it was great! Went today and ordered some beef patties and they were almost empty, almost no filling at all. Wasn't worth it. It was like an empty pastry shell and a tablespoon of meat spread on one side

Ordered the large curried goat which tasted great but wasn't given much meat. Also there was no plantain which is listed on the menu. No heads up nothing. Just given so much rice in lieu. Ordered a beef patty too but it was hard and most likely from the day before. Asked if I wanted to leave a tip and said yes. Was not asked for an amount and when I got my statement it looks like a $7 tip was added!!! $30 for these two items... not worth the price, especially the tip when you're not given much meat or plantain...

Amazing food and people. I love the beef patties and everything they serve. I would definitely recommend to everyone if you're craving something spicy and savory. Not to mention I love the seatings out in the front.

A coworker and I went to eat there. I was the one who suggested going there because it was the highest rated Jamaican place in the area. My coworker is African American and was greeted warmly by the lady behind the counter. I wasn't greeted at all, which was fine as I thought she was just distracted talking with my coworker. All the food is served in styrofoam containers, whether you are dining in or taking out, and they only give you a plastic fork to eat with. You order at the counter and get your food from the counter when it's ready. When we got our food at the counter, my coworker paid first via card. When it got to me, I was told by the woman at the counter to pay in cash, then she amended that to say that "I can pay in cash," so I took out my card, then she flipped again to tell me to please pay in cash. I was already very confused at that point because why was I being asked to pay in cash? But I'm cooperative, I even told her thank goodness I had cash to pay with! My coworker and I ordered the same thing and the difference in the portion size was apparent. She received 5 large pieces of meat, I got 3 smaller ones. We both got a small order of the ox tail so it wasn't a difference in order size. Taste wise, it was fine (I would prefer more spices for a better flavor) but I've had much better ox tail almost everywhere else. And with three small pieces of ox tail, it definitely was not worth the $23+ price! I love Jamaican food and am thankful there are very good restaurants serving it nearer to me. I don't plan on going back here ever again. It was just weird from start to finish. I try not to complain at restaurants if nothing egregious happened, so I didn't complain here. But the experience of dining here was different enough for me personally that I wanted to note it.

Been coming here for a few months now and the food is delicious !!! The beef patties are always on point. I usually get the large oxtail. I was a little hesitant at first paying $25 dollars for the large order of oxtail, but I figured I would get a decent amount of oxtails for that price. One time I got 7 pieces of decently sized oxtail, but most of the time I end up getting only 5 pieces of oxtail. I'm not trying to be rude but these oxtails were tiny. 2 pieces were alright sized, But the remaining 3 pieces were a little larger than the size of a quarter with a huge heaping of rice. Sometimes they add the croquet (or cornbread I'm not sure what it is but it is delicious) and other times they don't ... really inconsistent. Then this last time I went in I read my statement and saw that I was charged $36.51 for a large oxtail (5 tiny pieces of oxtail) and a beef patty ... I was literally robbed wth. It sucks because the food is fire, but I can't justify spending $25 dollars for inconsistent service and tiny portions.

Authentic ! Just like back in the Bronx ! Only thing is sometimes u don't get plantains with your order and sometimes it's a smaller order when u order a large but I always get the oxtails they're so good and they always put gravy on the rice without asking it's my favorite Jamaican restaurant in San Diego !!

I was in the area and was passing by and thought, I want some Jamaican food!Plenty of parking, and dined in. Ordered the most recommended off Google reviews and tried their Curried Goat. It was delicious to me considering I rarely eat Jamaican food and have been trying to eat more food from Carribean diasporas.I even tried a tasty Beef Patty! Will definitely be back to try the other dishes as well.

Delicious!!!! We had oxtails and brown stew. Good portions, good service, wish the weather was better so I could sit out on the patio and eat but that's not their fault. The cook was in the parking lot when we pulled up and greeted us and was so very friendly.
