My brother ordered carne asada tacos..2 VERY small tacos and some burnt chips on side...$18.50, sister in law got chopped chicken salad...very little chicken and a few mozzarella pieces, had to ask for dressing...$18.50...I had lobster bisque..$14.50...no bread or crackers! Plus a 5% surcharge! We go there every time they visit, but will be finding a new place to eat....so disappointing!

Tried it again on a busy Friday night and servers were much more attentive and accommodating. My favorite salad - balsamic chicken was on point. Thank you for redeeming my last review !

I guess we can blame the inflation these days for the high prices. But that was not the reason why we wouldn't come back to this restaurant again. The food was so salty. We could not finish the Chicken Lettuce Cups because the amount of sodium they put in. The Brussels Sprouts was burned they had to redone it again.

We are repeat patrons for happy hour. This time we came for lunch. I ordered the chopped chicken salad. Truth be told, I was underwhelmed with this dish. The dressing was very light and the chicken was bland. The only saving grace was the Kalamata olives - which gave the salad all of its flavor. My advice - come here for the happy hour. Don't order the salad!!

Vanessa was an exceptional server. She was attentive, accurate, friendly, perfect on every way. Went during happy hour half price deal and the food was excellent. Great way to try some of their appetizers!

I give one star because the foods were not good at all but the service was good. It's way overpriced. There are millions of restaurants you can go for better food if you pay that kind of money. We had a family dinner and ordered different foods (pizza, burger, pasta and seabass). None of us thinks their foods were good. I ordered the past. It doesn't have any taste. It was my first time to have eaten here, but we will definitely not eat here again.

Went to Sammy's for dinner tonight with friends. We had several half-price for happy hour tapas, and they were all very good. We especially enjoyed the chicken taquitos and the 4-cheese pizza. The spring rolls and dumplings were also tasty. We want to give a shout-out to our wonderful waitress, Vanessa! She was incredible--personable, professional, efficient, friendly, and all-around outstanding. A server can really make or break a dining out experience. Vanessa really added to making our night out fun and relaxing. Give Vanessa a raise!!

Had a very nice lunch at Sammy's today. Dmitry was our server and he was incredibly attentive to all our needs. We had a dish come out a little over cooked and he immediately brought out a replacement and was so apologetic. I can't say enough about Dmitry and his exceptional service!! We don't eat out much anymore since restaurants seem so short handed and service is sometimes lacking but not at Sammy's! We will be back!

Come on guys, there's no meat in the tacos. What on earth is this? I moved all the fluff to try and find the meat. Do not get the duck tacos.

Had a little bit of time so decided to pop in to share a sundae with my daughter. After ordering sundae waited for 20 minutes. No sundae.

I had an excellent lunch entree with an hors d'oeuvre and a dessert several glasses of wine super service everybody was delicious it was five star service...BUT after I cleared out my bill which was over $100 for a lovely birthday lunch and lovely service I told the waiter who was leaving thank you and then I said I'm going to want to order one more glass of wine which I I got that it was a $15 glass of wine but it should not have cost me $25 with the service charge added come on let me tell you that was a pissy obnoxious ending to an otherwise perfect lunch I felt like I've been used

If you’re looking for a restaurant to please everyone Sammy’s is the spot to go to. They have a very extensive menu including salads, sandwiches, tacos, pastas, fish and their signature woodfired pizzas. And of course you have to get their amazing desserts like the messy sundae or the dessert pizzas. Sammy’s has one of the best happy hours too. Everyday from 3-6 pm enjoy select appetizers at 50% off and $2 off beer and wine...

Came to Sammy's after checking out the Scripps Poway Christmas lights. We had our pup so was happy to see Dogs Allowed. It was a really nice out so patio seating was perfectly fine not to mention the patio is really pretty. Love the plants and lighting. Shani was our server and she was lovely. We asked about her favorite pizza and she suggested a few but we decided to go with her top choice, the Thai Chicken Pizza. It's such a unique combination and flavor but I love the basil and peanut sauce! We also got the Brussel sprouts and our free check-in which was a Ceasar Salad. We always appreciate a freebie! We also got a four cheese pizza. It was a lot of food so we have lunch for tomorrow but the pizza has a nice crust so it'll be good even reheated.

We came for lunch at 1pm on a Thursday when it was not that crowded and still the service was pretty bad. Got seated in 2 minutes but after 10 minutes I had to remind the front desk that we still dont have a server. Even after telling that they sent a server after another 7-8 minutes. And after taking the order it took another 15 minutes. Pizza was good though.
