The bacon is so burnt it's giving no flavor but burnt oil! Dry sandwich that isn't worth what you pay for it.

The place is great. Friendly staff. That French Roll has got to go. Some nice crusty proper Italian bread should be in place here. 15, 18 20 dollar sandwiches these days. You can swing it. AnywayCheers..

Continued bcuz I wouldn't tolerate it this time and hung up, it still occurred twice I have a lot to say!I mentioned my half sandwich and got okay I have, now I can't quote exactly but there's the smaller the medium and the larger size sandwich and I said now do those three different sizes of sandwich and there began the condescending and I'm going to repeat what I think I said last time is that it's so condescending and it's also flustering and I know the first time I was so I was embarrassed I felt like the kid in the classroom you can't understand what the teacher said even though she said it over and over again, I should remember because she did say it over and over again the three siders and their weights would not address a half sandwich. and when the teacher asked the student yes how can I help and the students like they did something wrong like they're not good enough smart enough because the teachers criticizing them and condescending them. that's what this girl does and I'm here that's unnecessary Matilda. forget about asking her about the sandwich with the sliced meatballs I would just say that, I know the intention was to be helpful but what would have been helpful is to be on hold a little bit longer let Maria come back take the call and we finish the order we started and then I would have had a sandwich instead of jumping in when you really not sure what I already took place it's not the best alternative. I would say to let them stay on hold a little longer, I wasn't on hold that long, and maybe if more time goes by or even if you do pick it up sooner just lead with a couple of things like a not all of us are your regulars who can walk in and say I love the usual. some of us have never been there before and some of the information we need isn't available online which makes it hard I'm just saying, and maybe we do need some questions answered before we spend 15 bucks your sandwich in order to decide what it is that we want because you have so many choices. if you work in a place with that many choices you need to be prepared for people like me and treat them with kindness and patience and starting with the hi this is Matilda Maria's going to be busy for a minute may I help you? just something like that would alleviate a lot of confusion because of this happened to me twice and I've called twice I doubt I'm the only person who has encountered this? I never ordered yesterday I was hungry that seems like a pretty silly thing for both of us. I'll try to be a good customer I promise that it's a team effort and clearly you did push me and twice and as you can tell he was very offending and unprofessional and it was rude and I'm sorry but Matilda come on just lighten up take a breath I know you're great at your job and that's not a huge adjustment to make except for the part about working somewhere with that many choices that's not going to change you might have to make a couple changes

They make the best sandwiches on BAKERY FRESH BREAD. You can eat there, but most people order in advance or in person-service is FAST! Just a friendly local business that has a long history of happy customers. Next lunch, give it a try. Eat in is just tables and chairs but clean and quiet enough for conversation.Dietary restrictions: They make sandwiches to order. Tell them what you want. They are happy to comply. Salads also available.Parking: Lots of spaces in the parking lot. On street usually open right in front. Worst case, you could park in the even bigger lot across the street, but I never have had to do that.Kid-friendliness: So friendly to kids they used to give them ice cream at a loss. Sadly, this was discontinued when covid forced changes. Teachers still order out here, or come in to eat and chat.Wheelchair accessibility: just roll in.

I've eaten here a half dozen times already and have tried a number of items on the menu. I've never been disappointed! If you like a good Reuben sandwich, this is your spot. Service is quick and friendly. I love supporting local places and this one is worth the money.

They are exceptional doing business with while catering to our dietary restrictions and my coworkers are always very pleased with this choice. Thank you for being a reliable caterer!!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sandwiches were requested over the phone for a catering order.Dietary restrictions: We requested GF and vegetarian sandwiches which San Diego Sandwich Company was more than happy to accommodate.

The crabby woman who takes orders expects you to immediately know what you want. If you like your sandwiches made with subpar products and ungloved hands, this is the place for you. Cafeteria tier sandwiches at premium prices.

San Diego Sandwich was a complete letdown, earning a solid 1 out of 5 stars. If I could, I'd give it zero stars without a second thought. I went for the charbroiled chicken sandwich from the "hot sandwiches" menu, and oh boy, was it disappointing. The bread lacked any toasty goodness, and for a sandwich shop, it fell short in terms of bread quality. To add insult to injury, besides the tasteless chicken, all I got was a sad bit of lettuce. My partner decided on the spicy chicken sandwich, and it was like a sad rendition of frozen buffalo boneless chicken wings you'd find in a grocery store freezer. Sure, it had a hint of flavor, but it still ranked as one of the worst sandwiches we've ever encountered. In a nutshell, San Diego Sandwich didn't just miss the mark; it failed spectacularly in delivering a satisfying sandwich experience. Despite the fast and friendly service, San Diego Sandwich's disappointing, flavorless food highlights their desperate need for improvement.

I'd been meaning to try this place for a while. It's a cute place, and larger than it looks from the outside. Service is very good, with a friendly staff. They are very chatty here, but seem to know the regulars, but treat everyone like regulars, which is good. I ordered the #27, turkey avocado and cheese, on a French wheat roll. The way they cut and stuffed it was unique, like a salad sitting on top of the bread. I think I would have rather had it closed, but okay. The sandwich was pretty good, but I think I like Submarina better. It's also a little pricier here, but to be fair, it was a pretty large and filing sandwich. It's worth a try though.

I order a couple of sandwiches from here every week and this was the 3rd straight week where the bread was stale and the meat didn't taste good. Not sure what happened with their quality but I gave it three tries and all three times the food did not look or taste good.

This is what San Diego Sandwich calls "turkey". It is dry, absolutely shredded, and fell out all over the place. I paid for avocado, got none. That was the last time, folks!! No mas!! A total waste of $14. Plus, I was on a break, no time to go back and complain or get my money back. Missed my dinner and had to go back to work. Thanks!!
