We had a delicious dinner here after an event at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and weren't disappointed. It was only an hour before closing time and, although the service was a bit slow, it was professional and friendly. We both had the Baja Fish Trio (see photo), which was spectacular. Highly recommended.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp from street level to the hotel/restaurant.

This is the third time I've been here. I come for the view but always surprised by how good the food is. This time we watch dolphins jump in the waves from our table. I was kind of bummed when I saw the menu this time because it had changed. They had a really good loaded fries, burgers, etc but now the menu was on the healthier and pricier side. Yet, the chopped salad with steak I ordered was very good. The mud pie was good but I would like it better without nuts. I also received a complimentary cheese cake dessert so that was very nice. The service was good. My recommendations are allow happy hour to go until at least 5:30 pm and not end at 5:00 pm (too early) or just add some of the old items from your menu. We had a lovely dinner.

Came here two years ago and sat at a beautiful table with my partner outside. Great view of the sunset. But mediocre food. I remember it being overpriced as well but made peace with it because of the view.We come back two years later for a sunset dinner on our honeymoon. My husband reserves a table in person the day before, tells the host it is a special dinner. We ask to have a table outside. The waitress is sweet and accommodating. The next day we show up for our reservation. The two hosts are frantic and tell us to sit down and wait even though we had a reservation. We wait 15 minutes, watch people who walked in after us get seated, and then we ask again if we can sit down. The girl says we won’t be able to sit outside and that we must wait to be seated inside because it is first come first serve.Needless to say we left. What is the point of taking reservations and requests if you are not able to meet them??? Why have two hosts if neither of them can do their job properly?Horrible service, lame food, I’m giving a generous 2 stars because of the nice view we had two years ago.We went to Sandpiper down the street and received amazing service and some of the best food I had in SD. I recommend going there instead!

What a lovely little spot! We stopped by on our way out of San Diego & it was a chill brunch spot with stunning views. The chilaquiles had the perfect kick & the breakfast burger was an instant hangover cure. The espresso martinis were A solid hotel restaurant with free parking and a beach you can stroll afterwards!

Brought my wife for our 8th anniversary and it did NOT disappoint!!! Partnering with The Shores Restaurant in La Jolla was fabulous Shelby, Riley, Katie, and our server, Heather, were phenomenal with getting my flowers and champagne all set and ready to go before we arrived. And that window seat in an intimate little corner was perfection for watching the sunset. I know it couldn't be a guarantee, but it worked out famously. The octopus starter was epic, full of flavor and so enjoyable. The ribeye with the chimichurri on top and addicting chilequiles was chef's kiss. The fish trio was delicious, three different fish and flavor profiles, but they all complimented each other on the plate. The mudd pie was to die for. That oreo crust was the perfect texture pair to the silky pie. YUUUMMMMM. Well done, you guys. You exceeded my expectations in every way and helped make my anniversary the most memorable one yet. Can't wait to come back!

Great location to catch the sunset at Happy Hour. You can sit on wooden chairs and serve yourself or have table service. We went once for breakfast but found it to be over priced.

We sat at the bar. Our server was great. He was friendly and made sure we were happy with our food. The fish tacos were delicious! Crispy with great flavor. I love the aioli they put on them. The beans and rice were seasoned well and tasted great. Also the views are beautiful! Not much more you could ask for.

Had time to kill in La Jolla and was pleasantly surprised by this place. The weight staff is very attentive and great at making dish recommendations. Nothing beats enjoying a Happy hour with a view like this.

Delicious food, amazing view and beautiful inside ! The view is stunning but so is the interior design. The food was very good and I feel lived up to the prices. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the Caesar salad because I miss under stood what was on it. My only complaint was how long it took for our server to come back in between things, especially since it was a very slow time on a Thursday afternoon. But over all I will come back, and I definitely recommend coming at happy hour to enjoy the great food for a little cheaper.

Beautiful place with expectational service. We came in from walking along the beach and were greeter our David our bartender. He ending up making our day with his charm and professionalism. The appetizers were great and the cocktails were amazing. I would surely recommend.

Amazing location and view, the food is expensive but pretty good. The servers were friendly but less than professional. Normally I prefer that kind of thing, but if the prices are this high I expect there not to be mistakes.

Great ocean views and wonderful service. It was crowded for valentine's, but they handled it well. This is somewhat of a hidden gem, although plenty of people knew about it last night!
