Best vegetarian Chinese food I've had! Really good fake meat, the flavors are spot on, and the portions are really large. It's nice that steamed rice comes with your meal. Highlights are the shrimp, Kung pao chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and the chow mein. Everything was so good, and we couldn't finish it all. Order at the counter and food comes out quickly. Inside is very casual, nothing special, but plenty of seating.

Sipz has been around SD for ages. Think I ate there for first time in 2002-ish.Always consistent vegetarian Asian food. Lots of fake meat and vegan deserts and It’s all pretty good. The orange chicken is exactly what you want in orange “chicken”. Sweet, chewy and completely unhealthy. The veg pho and crispy chow mein are solid as well. Is it the best Thai, Chinese, Japanese food…well no. There’s plenty better out there. For someone who is a strict vegan though there’s few other places that have such a large menu of options. Oh and the veg sushi on the weekends is great.Vegetarian options: All vegetarian, mostly vegan

We've come here at least three times in the past month, the food is probably the best vegan/vegetarian I have ever had in SD. They are generous with portions and service is attentive and kind. Our favorites are the "shrimp" drunken noodles, the crispy "shrimp" appetizer, eggplant delight, and the kung pao "chicken". They also make a great Thai tea! We will definitely be back!

It was hard for me to find good Asian food when I had to go vegetarian, I was lucky enough to find this place and I began going almost every week! I haven't gotten the chance to try the sushi here but I really liked the salt and pepper "shrimp"

Hard to beat delicious and cheap vegan food! We ordered the orange "chicken", veggie surprise and the "crab" wontons. For dessert, the coconut cupcake and pandan cookie were phenomenal. Definitely are coming again!

The paella was great. Tasty and robust serving. The soup was dull and there was hardly any flavor to it. Sevice was barely there. Order s are placed at the counter and food delivered to your table. After that, you are on your own. You have to always get up and look for help or get what you need yourself. The atmosphere was dreary, dark and unconducive to having a pleasant, uplifting meal.

Not vegetarian and quite enjoyed it. Will go again.Vegetarian options: Decent selection. "Meat" choices are def veggie but not bad considering I'm carnivorous.Parking: Parking lot out front.lookslarge enough to accommodate lots of parking. Other business share. May get full night's and weekends.Kid-friendliness: Saw a couple families with younger kids who were happy as could be. A rush was on and the staff were pleasant and even joking with the kids.

I can Never get enough of Sipz. Every person I take here becomes a life long fan. Wish there was one in east county!! The Tom Kah soup is heaven. Pad Thai is amaze balls. Nothing I have tried there I haven't loved. Even my meat loving husband craves this place. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Solid spot for vegan food. Food is fine, not spectacular, and there are a lot of options and almost everything is vegan. I would advise the owner to ask him employees not to talk to clientele about how they "just can't go vegan" because vegans hear this a lot and it is upsetting and frustrating, and, frankly, we come to places like Sipz because they should be a haven from having to confront that kind of discourse when eating out. As vegans, we constantly have to answer questions, do outreach, and hear people's excuses for why they "just can't" stop eating animals, especially when eating at places that are not vegan friendly. But at an all veg restaurant, please give us a break!Dietary restrictions: Vegan friendly

This is a hidden secret about food and they made this look and taste so good with it being plant based. When you first walk in there are deserts that look so delicious!!! I had to fight my sweets urge at first but later succumbed to getting a cheese cake, banana bread and a peanut butter cup!!!! Back to the meal, I had the Pad Thai with chicken and OMG it was delicious!!!!! The bowl was larger than expected and I couldn't finish it all. The orders were on the table in a minimal about of time, you could see the steam rising from it letting you it was still warm. For it being plant based I would have never ever imagined that this food would taste so good!!! I'm giving praise to the chef that made it, it's still unbelievable even though I saw it and had a bowl right in front of me. The place is an open space with tables and chair spread out in an open atmosphere. I play on definitely good back for more options. Like I always say try it you may just like it!!!

I have been dying to try this place because I am trying to become vegetarian. I love Asian food and thought this place was super unique, because it served vegetarian Asian fusion. There is a ton of seating inside and it was pretty crowded. There is a ton of options on the menu and I was amazed to see how many Asian cuisines there were, from Thai food to Vietnamese food to Chinese food. I ordered two of their bestsellers, the salt and pepper tofu and tangy orange "chicken". The food came out in about 10 minutes and the service was great. The servings are massive for the reasonable price and the food tasted so fresh. I loved how the tofu was slightly crispy, but not overly fried. It had a subtle salt and pepper seasoning and there was lettuce and broccoli in the bowl. The tangy orange "chicken" had the most flavorful sauce and it really did taste like chicken. I wasn't able to tell the difference. Each dish came with a side of rice which was nice. The bakery options are also incredible. I had to get the ube cake and a pandan coconut cookie. Both tasted super fresh and were not overly sweet. There are so many other desserts like cupcakes, brownies, and banana bread. Also, there are a ton of cookie flavors like Funfetti, mint oreo, ube marshmallow, red velvet, etc. I had such a great experience and I would definitely come back. I want to try their drunken noodles and yellow curry. I highly recommend coming here!! The workers are super sweet and the food is absolutely delicious, especially for the price!!

This is the good Sipz location the North Park one doesn't know what they're doing. The food at Clairmont Sipz is always delicious. Too bad you can't pick the location you want to doordash to deliver from, because when you get your food from this one you can tell it's so much better tasting.Updated to say it's still amazing.
