Had 2 different reservations, one for a Friday night and then 2 days later for Fathers Day. Received notification that my Friday evening reservation was cancelled, with no explanation. Walked by and noticed a sign on the door stated they had an issue and were closed. Didn't hear that ny reservation for Father Day was cancelled, Showed up and the restaurant was closed. No emails or calls letting us know they would need to cancel our reservations. We were not the only ones as several other groups of people showed up for their reservations to find the restaurant closed. Disappointed as I just moved to the area and was looking forward to trying the food.

Today we had the most disappointing breakfast. We submitted our order through UberEats for a place called Egg Me On. The food that arrived was from SoleLuna Cafe and it was nothing like the pictures. Not only was it the most poorly made sandwich, the bread was not a burger bun and turkey patty looked like someone tore it up into little pieces with their hands and threw it on microwaved eggs. The orange juice is a $4 bottle of Tropicana. I just ask that you avoid advertising food you can't make. It is misrepresentation and leads to a disappointing experience.

This delightful Italian restaurant is nestled in the shadow of the El Cortez building. We chose it because it was in easy walking distance from our motel. There is both indoor and outdoor dining but as it was windy we opted for indoors. It wasn't crowded as we were having an early dinner. The bartender/waiter (whose name I have sadly forgotten) and his colleague Ruth were friendly, engaging and attentive. Our food came out of the kitchen quickly and was piping hot. My husband and I shared our entrees and both felt that the Gnocchi was probably the best we have ever had. This place is well worth it.

Love coming to SoleLuna Cafe! It's a hidden gem on top of Cortez Hill. Great food, drinks and excellent service! Don't fall for all the hype in little Italy and pass this place up!

We were staying across the street and popped in. So glad we did! The food was delicious! I ordered the shrimp lobster ravioli and my husband had the Tortellini Romagnoli. We had the Bruschetta to start. It was some of the best Italian we have had in a while. The waiter, Giuseppe, was fantastic and very attentive even though he was the only one in front and it was pretty busy. I asked for a pic of the Prosecco since it was so good and bubbly and he was super nice about it. Absolutely recommend this cute little restaurant with delicious food!

The service was good the people working there were very friendly. The restaurant is stylish and located on a nice corner looking towards the city. We ordered 4 things. Margarita Pizza, Minestrone, Fettuccine Alfredo and Parmesan eggplant. I would give the soup a 4 1/2 out of 5 rating. Everything else was a 3.5. The eggplant parm didn’t have enough Parmesan. The Fettuccine was good but it was lacking something and the pizza didn’t have enough cheese and the sauce was average. I would go back and give their menu another chance and I would hangout at their bar.

luv the sitting ideas with the fur on the wall. there's an exterior sitting also with nature. Staffs are very friendly. I love the design on my drinks and especially the green tea latte.

I feel bad writing this post but I have to. Out of the 4 times I've tried to eat at the venue, I've been turned away twice because the person working said the restaurant closed early. I'm making this post because tonight bothered me more than the last time I was turned away because I had plans to eat here for a few days. We showed up at 730 to see a bunch of people sitting throughout the restaurant although the place was still very empty. While we waited for the couple in front of us to be seated a waiter walked up to tell us the restaurant is closed and can't sit us. He mentioned the couple in front of us just made it... I checked my phone and it was 731. We ask if we can just have wine but the worker says they are closed. If you are going to close at 730 and turn people away at 731 please at least update your listed hours. The door clearly states the business closes at 815/830 and yelp show the business is open until 11pm. It's a bummer to see the only decent restaurant that's walking distance from our building sit empty while servers turn away locals because they closed an hour early. When I have eaten here I have received very poor and slow customer service. I wouldn't recommend you waste your time with plans to eat at this restaurant unless very early in the evening or for brunch/lunch. The food is decent but you might as well go the extra blocks to little Italy for the price you'll pay at Sole.

We've been coming to this little Italian restaurant regularly for about six years. Tonight something seemed off. We hadn't been there in maybe six months and were wondering if the management has changed. We always thought of it as a very affordable gem, very authentic (down to the Italian waiters), etc. Their lasagna tonight was pasty and made different than the past--less ground beef, for one thing. In the past you were always greeted with a bottle of water for your table and bread with olive oil. Not tonight for some reason. Maybe just a bad night. We'll try again because it's our first and only disappointing night.

We walked by this cute lil cafe yesterday and had to stop for dinner! Soleluna Cafe has such a fun menu and a handful of vegan options too! Lucky for me, Brando decided to split the vegan Margherita pizza and vegan ravioli. We also got the bruschetta to start with. Y’all, the marinara sauce for the ravioli was incredible. We’ll definitely be back for more happy hours! I definitely recommend anytime you’re in the downtown area.

Have been here many times and love it. Your local neighborhood Italian restaurant. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and makes authentic Italian food. Many of them are from Italians themselves. They have a variety of options, and have something for everyone. They even have vegan and gluten free options. It’s not super expensive but also not a cheap meal per se. I take all my friends and family here when they are in town.

I decided to pop in a few minutes before noon, and I must admit I was surprised to see no other customers yet. Assuming I missed the last group or whatever, I didn't let that stop me, and oh boy am I glad I stopped. The sandwich I had (Alto Adige) was amazing, all I had hoped for, really. The waitstaff was very friendly and service was excellent, as well.

This review is just based on the experience we had last night. While we have enjoyed the food here, last night we went for dinner, and due to the Covid mandate for masks, wore ours until we sat down to eat. By the time we were done with dinner, the restaurant, which was incredibly busy, had died down and we were one of the last patrons to leave. My partner went to use the restroom and was told by someone that just appeared from the back that he could not use the restroom as they had just cleaned it and due to Covid, it was closed for the evening, and I had just used it about 15 minutes prior (there are 2 restrooms). Then as we were getting up and putting our coats on, the same gentleman yelled at us to "Put your masks on NOW!"...we were holding our masks in our hands and were fully intending on putting them on after we got our coats on. We left not particularly happy with this experience.

First visit was on Monday (11/08/21). Loved it. Came back on Tuesday. Missed Wednesday (sorry). Returned for Thursday and Friday. This eve (11/13/21) we ate the left-over pizza from last night (Fri.). And sipped some Camparis and sodas on our hotel deck overlooking their patio! Terrific place. Seems like a small-town home-town joint. Everyone in a good mood. We had Insalatas Mista (2x), Truffles Ravioli, Shrimp Lobsters Ravioli. And Insalatas Caprese (2x), Pizza Margherita ... and bottles of the Chianti. And a grapa. Plus a Crème Brulee. But not all on the same day, OK? A good reason to return to Cortez Hill.
