Came here because other reviews mentioned they are famous for their fish tacos. So glad we did. My husband got the Baja fish tacos and said they were good. He would rate them 4.5 stars. I got the mahi fish tacos. They were perfect. The fish fell apart when eating it but didn’t crumble- It was cooked perfectly. Also got the Friday special of oysters. Literally cannot beat the price, $6 for 6 oysters! The oysters were not “cheap” either in regards to quality. Our waitress said they were special ordered. Not sure if they are always ordered from the same location but we had some from BC and they were fantastic. It did take a little while for anyone to take our order. It was seat yourself but order taken at table. However, when we did finally order, our food came out very quickly afterwards. In the meantime we were able to enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean on the outside balcony.

An enjoyable place to watch the setting sun, enjoy! The 5 for 5 tacos were okay, lacking seasoning for my taste and the tortillas were lack luster, but, for $5, I shouldn't have expected too much. The frozen margarita seems to have come from a machine and was strangely orange colored. Plates with other customers looked quite nice - next time!

Visited on Wednesday evening after watching beautiful sunset at sunset cliff. 2nd floor patio seating is amazing and luckily we sat on the best spot to watch more beautiful sunset. Food and drink we got were great and the price was so reasonable with this kinda view so we were super satisfied. Got weekly special wahoo taco and bbq chicken slider, clam chowder. Will repeat and super recommend. This place is amazing

I ordered the mussels dish and the taste was just not good, very blend and not tasty at all but I was with family and trying to be cordial about it, until I noticed a bug on one of the mussels I completely lost my appetite and could not finish or enjoy anything after that. When the waitress brought the check I mentioned the issue to the waitress, I wasn’t to upset but the fact she never apologized and answers me with a shrug shoulders and says “oh yea that happens sometimes” then I commented well I lost my appetite, obviously didn’t finish my food and I got nothing no acknowledgment at all.Very disappointed with service and also do not recommend food here at all.

Decent food, on Fridays cheap buck a shuck, food was really quick, while it wasn't mindblowing it was decent for a place to grab a bite.

We only stopped in to grab a quick cocktail and meet up with an old friend of my wife (and forget our stroller overnight; thankfully, it was still there in the morning!), but South Beach Bar & Grille has some notable things going for it, even for us casual visitors: a prime location right next to the beach; gorgeous views of the sea from the upper level and outer deck; reasonably friendly and efficient staff (although our server seemed a little scatterbrained at times), and surprisingly decent prices for a restaurant situated spitting distance from the Pacific Ocean. OB is one of my favorite places in San Diego, so a return here to fully investigate its merits is definitely in the cards in the future.

Overrated to be honest. Tried to give them on honest try, four to five times but good is just not up to par. Good views but they treat their staff not so well and it shows. More of a drink and view spot.
