As New Yorkers, we say this place hits! So fresh from the veggies to the shrimp and the chicken! So yummy! The spicy was on point and much appreciated! We shall return while we are here in Cali!

A bowl of rice costs two bucks, which is really bad, and the food tastes so-so. Won't go there again.

First time visitor. Ordered potstickers, pork was still pink.Ordered tofu and vegetable soup. Was only tofu and bok choy. When mentioned that I was expecting more than one type of vegetable in the soup I was told it only is served with bok choy, and if I wanted mixed vegetables, I have to order it with mixed vegetables (yet there is no mixed vegetable soup listed on the menu). The soup broth was delicious though! Willing to return and try something else. They do have an extensive and impressive menu. If it is better next time I will change my rating.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking right in front. Double wide door for access.

Sadly food is overpriced for what you get. I haven't been to this spot in years and was disappointed with my experience tonight. Did a call in order and came to pick up my order and it was wrong. Also was quoted 15 minutes and took a little over 30. Egg fried rice is the same price as fried with protein such as chicken, beef, pork ($11.99) which is unusual to see. Would not recommend, lacks flavor.

Absolutely delicious food here. Spicy and flavorful, a must try. Will be coming back over and over! :)

Best authentic Chinese food in the area. Try their boiled (very hot sauce) dishes if you are craving comfort.

Ordered General Tso's chicken from doordash and the quality is so bad. It's not tasty and almost feels like it was reheated after storing in a freezer for a week. How can you charge 18$ for this crap.

This was a really nice restaurant. My only issue with it is why the signage says China Fun, when the restaurant is clearly Spicey House? We have a China Fun in Escondido, and I've never been, but always wanted to try it. I met a friend for lunch down south today and we chose China Fun, thinking it was the same thing, but it said Spicey House on the menus and the website. As I said, it was very good, and the staff was super nice, but I still don't really know where it was that I ate today.

Always go to this place because my friend said it was the best chinese food that replicates his hometown favorites. Truly authentic and delicious. We got the Scrambled Egg with Tomato, Ma Po Tofu, Cold Chicken with Green Chili Sauce Special, Shredded Pork with Szechwan Sauce, Mongolian Beef with Onions and Hot Pepper, and Chungking Style Rice Noodle with Special Sauce. All worth the try, it was so comforting to pair with rice and share with family. One warning for those with less tolerance and preference for spicy is that Ma Po Tofu is spicy and leaves the spice numbness in your mouth. My only criticism is as much as I love the tomato egg dish, they always give more tomatoes than scrambled egg pieces but still delicious.

Very authentic Chinese Sichuan cuisine. Although due to kitchen space limitation they don't have all typical Sichuan dishes the ones they have in the menu are all great. Price is very reasonable. You'll get most value of your money here.

Got the Chicken Chow Mein and Orange Chicken for lunch. The Noodles were gummy and the Orange Chicken left a lot to be desired. Since I had to wait to return the order I was told that the only way she would have refunded me is if I had come back immediately! Between my wife and I we had eaten about 5 pieces of the chicken and a few forks full of the noodles. The waitress said we had eaten half of it even though the level of the containers were less than an inch from top. That was another reason she refused the refund. Will never do business again there.

This place is definitely very different than China Fun, which was actually a decent place. Spicy House was closed down at one point by the County for vermin infestation and had the following issues in 2022 (look it up, it's all public information): Common Violation Types 9 Vermin | 8 Nonfood Contact Surfaces Clean | 8 Floors, Walls, and Ceilings | 6 Equipment and Utensil Storage, Use | 5 Equipment, Utensils, Linens Storage and Use | 5 Food Contact Surfaces | 4 Holding Temperatures | 4 Food Separated and Protected | 4 Premises, Vermin-proofing, Personal/Cleaning Items | 3 Warewashing Facilities Maintained The fact that their ownership and management can let it get this bad means they don't deserve my business. Stay away unless you want to be ill!

Ordered takeout yesterday and was told 30-40 min. The timing was right on point and the food is delicious. They set the right expectation on the wait and I didn't mind. Seems like it's a family of 3 that runs this place so naturally they're short staffed. Not a problem. Ordered the wonton, shrimp lo mein and shrimp fried rice and were all really good! Will definitely be coming back.

Authentic, spicy Sichuan food, fast service, great price! This is the restaurant that I go to when I crave the kind of food that I loved as a kid growing up in China.
