Great food and service. Have driven past this place many times and finally stopped in. Glad we did. Will definitely be back.

TL;DR good spot with some amazing items (e.g. intestine spicy noodles) albeit slightly lacking in depth of soup flavor but worthy of a late-night meal Spicy Noodle is a good spot with a small selection of noodle dishes with some accompanying side dishes like lamb skewers and other from the Chengdu region of China. Most of the staff here spoke fluent Mandarin and you have an ordering system similar to what you'd find in prototypical Chinese establishments. That shouldn't deter you, this place is a good spot to satisfy a noodle craving Here's where I'll be a little bit more critical. The meal itself was decently priced around $17 for a single person ordering one item after taxes/tip. The food wasn't spicy imo and barely broke a sweat albeit I do enjoy spice so this could also be an individual scenario. The broth was also somewhat lacking in depth of flavor. It could have been that the intestines soaked up most of the flavor as the intestines were much more flavor-packed, however, I enjoy a richer broth and this was slightly stronger than the seasoning you might get with some spicy noodle packet All that is to say, it wasn't the most impressive place but the intestines noodle dish was above satisfactory simply because it's a hard dish especially cleaning the intestines from having a gritty texture. I commend them for this alone, everything else are nitpicks for me but would definitely consider returning as they had some other dishes that caught my eye like their spicy beef noodle dish

Very friendly staff. Delicious, simple, and unassuming dishes. A surprisingly fantastic place to eat if you're ever in the Clairmont Mesa area. The restaurant is in a small plaza and is a gem of a hole in the wall. Chengdu style beef noodles are their specilty but there are many options on their menu. Perfect for a chilly San Diego evening or really any time of day. Will return! Left filled, warm, and smiling.

Off topic, one of my piercings broke and I had to get it changed. We were in the Clairemont area, so we Yelped a tattoo/piercing parlor. While there we saw this place across the street, I love a good bowl of Ramen, so we decided to check it out. The place itself is small and clean. Scan the QR at the table for the menu, which includes pictures, and order from it. It is not an extensive menu. The server was nice and the food was out quick. I ordered the Braised Beef noodle Soup, which is listed as spicy. The server said it is a "medium." I did not find it to be spicy at all, but the broth flavor was good. Unfortunately, the beef was pretty bland and fatty. I ordered an egg on the side and was a little disappointed I didn't get to choose how it was prepared. They come hard boiled and cold on the side. My husband had the Braised Beef in brown sauce over rice. He found it to be bland. This might have been a more authentic Chinese place than we are used to.

This place is the absolute best for authentic Chinese cuisine. It really doesn't matter what you order, cuz everything is fantastic. Family owned and operated. I love supporting a premium small business like Spicy Noodle. Henry is very helpful...and very personable. Spectacular food.

Crispy pork + Lamb Skewers + Sour glass noodle soup. If you want something sweet, there' like a cold jelly dish that's sweet and herbal. While the lamb skewers could be more seared it ended up being nice and tender and flavorful anyway. Crispy pork was perfectly cooked and I could literally eat 3 portions straight with the powder. The sourness of the noodle soup broth just makes you wanna keep eating more too. I will say they messed up my wife's takeout order and didn't add the syrup for the rice cakes, but we'll look over that small mistake for now and be mindful not to order pick-up next time. Two other passes for me were the beef skewers (overcooked) and the bone in pork rib with rice dish and mixed vegetables. It seemed very homestyle but it wasn't my thing is all. In addition, the family that owns this is sweet, especially the main young guy that works here. Very passionate and it shows in the food. 9/10, those three dishes above make me love this place to overlook most things here. Plus, it won't break your bank either.

One of my favorite places to go for authentic Chinese noodle soup! The hot and sour noodle and spicy beef noodle are delicious. We keep coming back!

Delicious and authentic. Family owned restaurant. Best zhajiang mian in San Diego hands down! Very friendly service.

My friend and I came here for an early dinner (5pm on a Sunday on President's Day weekend) and we were the only ones in the restaurant the entire time we were there. We ordered the hot and sour glass noodles and some other spicy dry noodles to share. The food was really spicy and flavorful, but we were both so freakin' thirsty after we left! I also had a massive headache, which was a telling sign that they used lots of MSG in their food preparation. I ordered the chili wontons for my daughter to go. She enjoyed the wontons, but agreed they left her feeling really thirsty. If you enjoy the Shanghai mala mouth-numbing chili and don't have a reaction to MSG, then this restaurant is an ideal choice for you. The restaurant is really clean and service is very friendly. There is also a large parking lot with plenty of spaces.
