Was craving some Detroit style pizza and Yelp helped a brother out and directed me to this place. They have other pizza options but the Detroit style is why you should come here. They name their pies after Motor City cars (Pontiac, Buick, Firebird, etc) - you can buy by the slice or a full pie. I tried the Pontiac (pepperoni) and one with sausage and both were good. The charred cheese crust is the highlight and is so good. This place is small so most people take it to go, however they have some outside tables you can eat if you want it fresh. Note - no beer or wine, but bonus is they have cannolis.

I'm sad to say that I am very disappointed with this place. I won't deny that they have terrific pizza, but the quality of handling food is outrageous. I've seen employees touch food without gloves. I saw them handling cash without, at least, applying hand sanitizer afterwards. Finally, I saw one of them using his phone. FYI, cell phones carry 10x more bacteria than a public toilet. I just hope to see drastic changes to employee training.

We decided to try this place because of convenience (it was close to our Air BNB) and were so pleased with the quality! Our granddaughter is gluten free and they offer a gluten free crust unlike anything I've ever had. The only drawback, or so I thought, was that we had to order a whole GF pizza as they don't offer individual slices of GF. It was delicious!! Even my husband who hates all things gluten free liked it. He chose a slice of one of their premade pizzas, the Dodge, that had ricotta cheese, baby spinach, mushrooms and garlic. It was amazing! I was sad that we didn't order another slice. There is no indoor seating and just a few outdoor tables, so bring a light jacket for those cool afternoons or evenings. I'm looking forward to our next trip to San Diego and we'll definitely be stopping by for another slice!

Little shop in PB, just off Garnet. Good food, but the worker did use the term "Mouth Feel." LOL. Anyway, go check it out. It will be worth it.

Stopped by to grab a slice and cannoli to go. Pizza was pretty good definitely while be trying again, the cannoli was a bit lackluster- it looked amazing but just didn't have much flavor the only flavor was the chocolate chips themselves

Detroit style done right! Everyone loved the pies we ordered, which were of excellent quality and outstanding flavor; that crispy, cheesy crust is life-changing. But don’t miss the white pie on focaccia - just simple olive oil, garlic and cheese to include fluffy clouds of heavenly fresh ricotta. Still dreaming of that. Service was highly competent and couldn’t have been any more friendly; these are just great people.

My coworker brought pizza here for a potluck & I was hooked I had to visit them in person. Located in PB. There is street parking or a small paid lot you can park in (but it is pricey). Customer service was friendly & they have outdoor seating available. They specialize in Thin Crust, Sicilian & Detroit style pizzas. They also serve Brazilian Cheese Balls, which I am obsessed with! You can order a whole pizza or order by the slice. I loved their Detroit style slices & how fluffy & flavorful the crust was. I will say, they are pricey though.

Incredible pizza spot, their sauce is REALLY good. Not like a detroit or Michigan culture knower, but this is probably the best tasting pizza in PB.

My recent visit to Square Pizza left me with mixed feelings and a slightly lighter wallet. Despite hearing rave reviews about this establishment, my experience fell short of expectations.Upon arrival, I was immediately taken aback by the prices. A 6 square pizza with vegetarian toppings set us back around $40, which seemed steep considering the portion size and quality. Despite the hefty price tag, the taste of the pizza was average, lacking the flavor and depth I had hoped for.Adding to the disappointment was the lackluster service. The staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful, failing to enhance the overall dining experience. However, it's not all doom and gloom. The one redeeming factor is the pizza's texture – it's freshly made and boasts a satisfying crispiness that can't be denied. This, coupled with its square shape, makes it a convenient option for a quick slice, especially before or after a night of indulgence. In conclusion, Square Pizza may have its upsides, but they're overshadowed by high prices and lackluster taste. While it might suffice for a pre or post-booze session snack, it's not a destination I would recommend for those seeking a truly satisfying pizza experience.

This is hands down the best gluten free pizza we've ever had. Fluffy, crispy, chewy. Seriously perfection.

Very disappointed in the thin crust. The other styles look good but the thin was so bad I don’t think I’ll be back. The sauce and crust are like elementary school cafeteria pizza. They say pizza is like the other five letter p-word…. But for $45 for two people, I’d rather have the motor city pizza from Costco.

The hype is real. I’m from the northeast originally and our pizza is great but I haven’t been able to say the same about San Diego. I’ve been on the hunt for a good pizza place after trying a bunch that were ok, but not amazing. Square pizza popped in a few of my Reddit searches. I live less than a mile away and can’t believe it took me til now to try it. This pizza is very good! This will be go to from now on. Price is reasonable too and staff is nice. I definitely recommend!
