This review is for the girl who just helped me out today 3/23/24 11:58am. Didn’t catch her name but she was the only African American girl working and the only one to greet me out of the 5 people behind the counter. I’m not one to review a place but this Starbucks has a staff that is normally unprofessional and rude, but the girl who helped me me stands out and is not incompetent like the rest of her co workers. I’d give no stars to this Starbucks and 5 stars to this employee! Give her a raise and make her a manager!

Worst birthday drink experience. Drive thru folks were rude and kept trying to upcharge me for adding shots and not wanting ice or room in my "free" drink. I'm sure it was just a few new staff or a miscommunication which I'm fine with but adding rude attitudes is a no. I used to work at Starbucks so it saddens me to see the state of this location.

This is about the 5th or 6th time. The quality/taste of my coffee is horrible. I've tried the same selections of drinks from other locations and they're pretty similar EXCEPT this location. They were pretty busy when I arrived but sometime eventually helped me and the customer service was fine. I'm not trying to be that guy but this has happened on more than one occasion. I'm sorry/ not sorry... I have never left there satisfied with the quality of the coffee. The taste is just downright BAD. Pouring it down the drain. It's that bad. I've tried. Just my opinion. I'll just avoid this one for good.

This is by far one of the worst locations in Clairemont. San Diego even. The barista do not care about their customers anymore. They are rude and unhelpful. I had a mobile order for 9:16am. Come 9:26am it is still not ready. I tried to get the barista at the hand off's attention and she rolled her eyes at me and just said ,"yeah?" I told her I was now waiting for my mobile order for almost 15 extra minutes and she snarked back, "well you should expect a long wait if you order in the morning," and then turned away from me and kept making a cold beverage. Unacceptable! When I received my drink almost 5 more minutes later it was the incorrect milk. I asked her to remake it with the soy milk I paid extra for. She again rolled her eyes and started making my new drink. She sloppily threw it in a cup with milk all over it and handed it out. Again, unacceptable! I later called to speak with the manager (I didn't want to pull a Karen, but I had to in this case) and the manager told me there was not much that could be done and if I wanted further compensation to go to corporate. I never asked for compensation and wanted to just let them know what their partner did to a customer. So again, just wowzers. You are much better off going to Genesee Plaza where there will at least not roll their eyes at you. This location is in need of new staff all around or just close.
They messed up my drink..no biggie so I went inside and asked if they could be remake it because it tasted like just milk so they remade it for me with an annoyed face I asked nicely…I get home and got food poisoning it was the only thing I had that day I couldn’t eat anything else for awhile…be careful with this place

Location on Clairemont Mesa Blvd, I'm a regular at the drive thru before going to work. The best customer service ever. Always a long line but it goes very quickly because of their awesome teamwork. I am always greeted with a friendly smile.

McKenna honestly is the best barista I have ever encountered! I put my drink it wrong and she was nice enough to ask me before making it because she realized I probably did it wrong. Love her
