This is one of my most favorite places in Ocean Beach! Tikka masala and garlic naan are my go to-- super delicious and always fresh!

I used to live in OB, pre-covid and this was my favorite place. I've been craving it for so long and was very excited to go back. Sadly, the food doesn't at all taste the same. I saw that another person mentioned that as well, and it's really unfortunate because I always considered this the best Indian food in SD. I won't be going back, though I did give 3 stars because the service is good.

We got the chicken tikka Marsala, the ribs, two orders of naan, and samosas. I will start by saying the man who helped us (the owner perhaps?) was incredibly nice, accommodating, and quick. The ribs were bursting with flavor and had the best texture - would highly recommend if you love ribs! Their Marsala was very good too, a little different flavor than what I'm used to being from the Bay Area. I felt like it had a hint of citrus but not in a bad way. I would definitely go back! The naan was great too (and perfect on eggs the next morning). If you get anything at all there, be sure to get their chutney!! It's probably the best chutney I've ever had!!

I have been going to this restaurant since it has been open. Now they don't want business. They don't answer my calls and they told me if I don't like it get my food somewhere else. That's a thanks for supporting them.

Literally, the best Indian food I've ever had anywhere in the world. I've probably been to over 150 Indian restaurants and this is lightyears beyond other places. The only issue is the prices, which are between 25%-50% more than the typical Indian restaurant. Still, very much worth it.

No Rice at an Indian restaurant. Wtf! They said Rice only comes with the curry dishes and they did not offer a side of rice for purchase. That's like going to a Mexican restaurant and them telling you if you want chips you have to order nachos. Booo!

First time eating here tonight. My partner and I love Indian food places/Himilayan food places. We decided to give this place a try since we got an advertisement for it in the mail. The food wasn't horrible but it had some weird off tangy flavors, as some others have mentioned in their reviews, that both my partner and I have not experienced before. The 2 entrees we recieved also tasted as if they were made with canned tomatos or sauce that overwhelmed the dishes. I don't think we will be back.

Best Indian restaurant in SD. Simple and small, but great food.

Really really bad Indian food. We ordered some takeout last week and here's how it went: Chicken tikka masala & chicken vindaloo seemed like precooked frozen chicken breast pieces reheated in sauces.. you can imagine how dry that would have made the chicken. The naan was ok. The rice was ok although a bit on the dry side as if it has been sitting in a warmer for a day. Lamb biriyani is the worst I have ever had. I think it was those frozen biriyani packets bought at a traders joe and warmed up so a $5 item can be sold for $20. Veggie samosas were quite good. This is the only item I'd order from here if I ever came back... which is never. This was one of the saddest Indian restaurants in San Diego & especially for the price... I'd have to assume the Yelp ratings were bought which reflects poorly on Yelp

Super speedy delivery of delicious comfort Indian food. So so legit and I could eat the samosas for days.

Good Indian cuisine used to be hard to come by in Point Loma. You had to go elsewhere in San Diego. Not anymore. Run don't walk, to Sundara!!!

The moment you step inside the restaurant, a beautiful aroma fills your nose. I probably drooled right then and there. Ordered online and food was ready on time. Love the social distancing. I literally didn't touch a single thing in that restaurant except my food. They have a card reader and it's right by the door so props to Sundara for keeping everything to a minimum. Food was great as well! Was visiting and glad we tried this out!

This is hands down my favorite Indian food in all of San Diego! Their chicken tikka masala is my favorite dish but in general I love it all! My husband and I moved to north county and I miss this place so much! You have my heart Sundara and I will drive an hour for your delicious meals!

Don't bother calling during business hours when they are open before they close, you will be told they're closing soon and not serving. What is the point of having a business if you don't want to serve when it says you're open? Business must be that good during Covid.
