Excellent ice cream and such friendly and upbeat staff! Also have vegan flavors. Family owned and they care a lot about the community. My favorite flavor is Stephie’s Silly Strawberry. Sunny Scoops will not disappoint. Best ice cream in San Diego!

Very creamy and delicious. Their Zanzibar chocolate flavor tasted like dark chocolate mousse. Portion size was just enough. The girl who served us was super nice and very positive. We will definitely be back for more.

The ice is decent. Texture and flavor were great. Portion was a little small for the price. The cup size kinda makes it feel like I didn't receive the whole portion. 1 Scoop barely makes it over the lip of the cup. The toppings are beyond over priced. $1.00 per topping. I ordered sprinkles and got about 1 tsp of rainbow sprinkles. They were gone before I was half way done. I know small businesses need to make money. But yeah never going to get a topping here again. I will bring my own for that price. If your looking for a nice little place to get ice cream on a hot day, and want to support a small business this place fits the bill. If you are looking for a place to get ice cream for a decent price might want to move on.

My 5 year old couldn't finish his single scoop of Superman ice cream in his chocolate dipped sprinkle covered waffle cone with gummy worms and was like: "Ya mommy I'm done." "Give it your sister so she can throw it away." My 17 year old I'm picking up chimes in: "Or I could just finish it". She grabs it, bites it and exclaims: "It's so good where did you get? Baskin Robbins?" "No...it's some place next-door to the place where your brother has his music lessons." "Why don't we go there all the time...The chocolate has salt in it!." If biting into a melted, soggy, half eaten ice cream cone with toddler drool on it can make a 17 year old sophomore high schooler happy on a day I pick her up late from school I'd say it deserves 5 stars and a review.

Loved the ice cream, it was very creamy and flavorful. Agree with others on pricing, it's sad that even ice cream is so expensive in this crazy world of trying to afford things. I wish we had felt more welcomed to the store and trying a sample, that threw us off.

If you want two small scoops of mediocre ice cream for $9.00, this is the place for you. I would much rather go to Marble Slab to get more ice cream for your dollar.

What a better way to escape this heatwave than a scoop or two of ice cream? I wanted to treat my daughter to a quick treat and saw this shop. I am so glad we stopped by. The owner was welcoming. The shop was bright and clean with more than enough flavors to pick from and the ice cream was delicious. We sat outside on the cute sundae bench which made my daughter so happy. It's always great to find a local gem!

We absolutely loved this place! Their ice cream is so creamy and they have flavors for every taste. They also have the nice outdoor area with yard games for kids to play. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and patient and let us sample some flavors before deciding. Go try it! You won't regret it!
