The best hot dog in San Diego hands down. The friendliest service and their meatballs — either as a slider or as part of the gravy and potatoes entree — are magnificent.

The food was fantastic here! The proprietor, Tina, makes her own homemade rye bread that is AMAZING. She is charming and welcoming and sweet and she obviously takes pride in what she serves. I can't wait to go back!

We loved the delicious, home-cooked food so much that we ate lunch here twice during our two-week stay in SD. The small restaurant is run by a Danish couple. The baked goods vary from day to day, and the food is fresh and authentically Danish. The service is warm and personal. Highly recommend!

Being Danish is hard sometimes because there's so few of us around in the US! I couldn't believe it when I found out that San Diego has an authentic Danish restaurant. I love being able to go and speak Danish with the owners, and their food is so on point and extremely delicious. They even sell real Danish cheese and specialty goods straight from Denmark! If you've never had Danish food, this is the place to go, and if you're craving authentic old school Danish food- this is also the place to go. Go support this amazing business!!

Everything was very excellent, meatballs, rye bread, the chicken tartlet in a puff pasty. Everything was obviously made from scratch and had wonderful subtle flavor. Can't wait to return, truly a highlight of San Diego's cuisine. Tak!

I wasn’t sure when I walked into this place but gave it a shot because of the reviews. When I bit into the Danish pork burger/sandwich I was transported to heaven. This thing was so delicious my mind was blown and I lost all sense of time. They must have some secret ingredients unknown to us poor USA citizens, I imagine the pork were raised by angels, fed gold dust, and watered with mermaid tears. I can’t get this place out of mind and heart.

A really fantastic restaurant. The food was extremely fresh and very tasty. We started with their rye bread tray that was provided. From our background and experiences, this was different and delicious. We ordered a traditional Danish hot dog, meatball sliders, the chicken puff pastry, an apple danish and their chocolate special, and 2 non-traditional beers. Being from Chicago, I really was amazed by their hotdog. Easily top 5 best hot dogs that I have ever had. All of the dishes and desserts were winners. One of the true surprises in San Diego, and the service was spectacular and caring.

This was a unique experience. The pork belly arrived with impeccable potatoes and a knockout parsley cream sauce, while the service was outstanding. The owner/server is welcoming and attentive, helpfully describing the menu to newcomers, and is also well-versed about the (unfortunately) few other places in the US involved in Danish cuisine. They generously provided rye bread on the house, with an awesome red cabbage, remoulade and strawberries. Not gonna lie, I considered a smoked salmon open-faced sandwich for dessert since I don't know when I'll be back, but dessert was confirmed when "do you like apples?" entered the conversation unironically. A Danish featuring the aforementioned fruit was impressive, finding just the right level of sweetness.

My partner and I had terrific food and wonderful service here! Tina and her husband are really quite special, and their care and attention to detail shows. In addition to food and drink, they have some delicious Danish candy for sale. We cannot recommend them any higher, and will definitely visit when we are in San Diego!

I really enjoyed the genuine European tastes. The bread was spectacular, and the best thing is you can buy it, and take that huge loaf home.

Food was so fresh and delicious. Rye bread is the best I've ever had. Highly recommend making a trip to this part of town from wherever you are. Owner was sweet and as kind as can be.

I have passed by this restaurant daily on my way to work for years now and I've always been curious. I finally found my way here over the weekend and it was so good! The food was delicious and felt authentic. The customer service was so great and you feel so welcomed when we walked in. It's a small place with a few tables inside so you get some one on one time with the owner but she's lovely. We got the traditional Danish hot dog with panfried sausage and an open faced sandwich (salmon). Both were amazing. The homemade picked cucumbers on the hotdog were perfect. Something so simple but added so much. And the open faced sandwich is made from homemade rye bread. Delicious. She also gave us a little appetizer for free with her the bread, strawberries, spread and cabbage which tasted great too. Highly recommend! Plus it's always nice supporting small business owners.
