Super cute beer stop.(+) Vibe. They renovated an old Mexican Presbyterian Church into a cool beer hall.(+) Service. Friendly, helpful.(+) Beers. Good selection. They also have canned wine for those who don't like beer.(+) Dog friendly.(+) You can order hot dogs from the place next door and eat it there if you want to.

Now this is truly a hidden gem! Hidden in East Village, a few blocks away from Petco Park, is an unassuming historic building from 1906 that looks kinda of like a church... turns out it was a Mexican Presbyterian Church back in the days. Upon entering, you are transported into a small town church, stain-glass, pews and all. The main difference is the podium area has been transformed into a daft beer bar!Although not a restaurant, they serve brunch on the weekend between 11-1, with a nice variety of breakfast sandwiches/burritos, Micheladas & Mimosas, and of course their large selection of specialty beer on draft. As this was a church and remains themed as a church, the names of the beer reflect it. There were so many that I wanted to try, I just asked the beertender to surprise me with 3 tastings of IPA's. They don't have flights, but do sell tasting size glasses at $3 each.I ended up with the Jesus, Mary & Joseph, the Every Everything, and The Right Side of Happiness. All were wonderful, but my favorite of the 3 was Jesus, Mary & Joseph - which was fitting as it was Christmas Eve! The beertender was very friendly and the other patrons there were all quite cheery and friendly looking people. It was a nice mix of people, so anyone would easily feel welcomed there. To top it off, they are very dog friendly as well.I've seen the sign outside that reads "The Church is Now Open" a few times and was happy to be able to finally stop in. I will definitely be back again to try all the other IPA on draft!

Great place to grab craft beers, gourmet bacon wrapped hot dogs, veggie dogs, smashed burgers and even smashed veggie burgers before a game. Extra, dog friendly!

Very diverse food truck & great beer tasting experience. Staff was eager to share both the beer & their knowledge.

Rude female bartender. Needs to be trained in customer service.

Love this place I come here all the time with my pup. They’re very dog friendly even inside and the food is good too.

My wife and I loved the atmosphere and beer here during our visit to SD! Highly recommend it, especially their Judgment Day, Serpent's Stout, and Lost & Found. We will definitely return next time we're in the area

One of my favorite places downtown! It’s close to everything while feeling a bit less crazy than the rest of downtown. There is a nice outdoor area with picnic tables and cornhole. The outdoor space is shared with Doggos Gus, which has amazing loaded hotdogs (vegan options too).

Great selection of beers. We both had the Jesus, Mary and Joseph Hazy IPA at 6.5%. Top notch. The guy behind the bars was super friendly.
