Amazing drink with friendly staff. I got the ice matcha with lavender cold foam, it was very delicious, my boyfriend got the vanilla latter and it was tasty as well. I had to come back the next day, and they were still amazing. Definitely, check them out when you are in town.

Cute little local popup shop is run by a lovely couple who seems to be loved by the regulars who stop by to chat even if they aren't having a coffee. Even a golden retriever popped his fluffy paws on the counter to wait for a treat as his party took him on his morning stroll. I tried their seasonal raspberry white chocolate mocha today with only a single pump of syrup as I prefer my drinks less sweet. If you've ever tried a raspberry filled chocolate from one of those assorted boxes of chocolates and liked it, you'll love this. I also had this apple cinnamon pull apart pastry. It wasn't too sweet and had just the right amount of cinnamon.

The best salted caramel latte and the people working there couldn't be sweeter. Highly recommend!

Not a big coffee drinker, but needed the caffeine boost and Mudbar was a quick walk from my hotel. They were SO friendly and welcoming, and the coffee was smooth, none of the bitterness or burnt taste I often feel at Starbucks. The spiced mocha and the seasonal raspberry mocha were both fantastic, flavorful but not too sweet.

I came to visit San Diego and happened to find this coffee place. The ice salted caramel mocha is sooo good. I've been thinking about it ever since I had it. I usually come visit San Diego on weekends and I'm so sad to find out they're only open on weekdays. I will definitely come back here next time I get a chance! Definitely top best coffee I've had.

Went back again the next day it was so good. And the gal remembered me and MY COMPLICATED drink! She also thanked me for the review. I just love the coffee here! If your in San Diego check it out and I think you'll love it just as much as I do. I love a good Mexican Mocha!

Very friendly staff. We had the Vienna and the Iced Vietnamese. The iced viet was 5 stars, well done. Walking distance from the Westin too.

I took a 6am flight from Seattle to San Diego for the weekend and coffee was the first thing I needed. Reviews had it that this was the best/only place I should go. I ordered a drink on special that was described as a frosted mint mocha. Being from Seattle, the mocha is usually a "gateway" coffee drink one starts with as a teenager, so it's been a while, but I froze when it was my turn and since I like mint, I took a chance. Best coffee I've found in San Diego!!! I kept waiting for the bitterness which never came, and I think there was magic in the frosted mint topping. So delicious. I ended going back for coffee every morning I could while I was there, and since I've been home I have thought about that coffee daily. Also note that the owner and Rich are exceptionally friendly and accommodating, which only made the experience better. Thank you, both.

There must be a reason why people have been coming here for decades, often waiting in line, risking it all to be late to work. Is it because Rich starts your day with a personal moment, telling a funny story, compliment or chat? Is it the espresso machine pulling beautiful, bold shots of espresso, making the drinks extra tasty? Perhaps, it's Jens lovely smile as she stirs, whips, and pours HANDS DOWN THE BEST COFFEE IN SD? This is a special little coffee cart that serves amazing coffee, smiles & chats. Not only does the espresso give you energy, but so does the staff & customers. FIVE STARS!

I stopped by the Mudbar this morning for an Iced Caramel Latte. It was delicious as usual. It's not really for coffee aficionados because the coffee flavor is competing with the caramel and milk. Luckily, for anyone who actually likes good espresso, Mudbar's espresso is excellent on its own, and in summertime it's delicious and refreshing over ice. Jen also makes a lot of great coffee drinks so, if an Iced Caramel Latte is not your thing, she has lots of other drinks to offer -- most of which you won't find on the menu at the big coffee place. On top of the excellent coffee, the father/daughter duo who operate the cart are friendly and outgoing, and happy to strike up a conversation. If the line is long, it's because the regulars are hanging around on their break, and that's the best time to go. Go Aztecs!
