We ordered the any two meats with two sides & the pork loaded mac. Both dishes were lukewarm, as if they had been sitting out for a while…even though we picked up our food & began eating immediately. Both of our mac & cheese was not seasoned and had no flavor — basically cafeteria food. The baked beans & sausage saved the plate. Same with the pork — the only item that saved the loaded mac in any way. Overall, waste of money.

Got the pulled pork and sausage combo plate with vinegar slaw and Mac n cheese. They ended up giving me pulled pork, sausage, vinegar slaw and potato salad. They also put it in one of those thin cardboard to go containers and the pork juice and vinegar kraut sauce and juices basically dissolved the box and completely soaked my cars seat before I got back to work. Now my car is going to smell like vinegar. Also the bread that it comes with is just two thin slices of white bread, nothing special. The pulled pork was dry, the potato salad was mainly a couple big chunks of potato and the vinegar slaw had one big chunk of lettuce and was very vinegary, it had so much juice in it that it covered the majority of the slaw. I cannot say anything bad about the sausage, that saved the meal. I will not be going back again.

My expectations were really low, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s good if you need a BBQ fix.

Stopped in last night for dinner. Service was great. I ordered the brisket plate with Mac n cheese and fries. The brisket was perfect; not too fatty, but not too dry. The Mac was outstanding. The fries were hot and crispy. A great option if in the area.

Maybe the best brisket I've ever had, I'm not religious but brisket like this may be proof that there's a loving god. To the punk that left three stars because the brisket was 'fatty', ALL BRISKET has a fat cap, usually 1/3 to 1/4 of each slice. Stupid people are hilarious. Seven stars out of a possible five, these guys doin it right, like whoa. Damn good.

The most disappointing meal I've had in recent memory. Pass on this one and get something else in the public market.

The brisket was very tender, flavorful; not dry at all. The potato salad had a well balanced texture, not too runny or dry. Mac n cheese was perfect - would highly recommend, please try it.

First time trying The Pig's Gig BBQ out and it was a great first experience. My wife and I have always wanted to try this place out every time at Liberty Station. Service was welcoming and professional. It was kinda slow since there was only one person working from what I saw but well for the wait. Since there was no seating inside, we sat outside. We ended up ordering the Brisket Mac and Cheese, Brisket with BBQ baked beans and potato salad. I could've ate everything by myself but shared with the wife. The Brisket Mac and cheese was delicious. The brisket itself was was rich, had a nice smoke ring, fatty and tender. The baked beans were also very good as well as the potato salad. Overall, a great first experience and I would definitely return to try other options. No pics this time.

Thanks for the food poisoning, I really appreciate it. I’ve literally been on the toilet the past few hours because of your poorly cooked Chopped Brisket sandwiches.

I love the Liberty Station Public Market and all the dining options. Someone recommended this BBQ place so we tried it out.I liked my brisket taco. My mac n cheese was just okay. My friend thought the brisket was a bit fatty, liked the sausage and the beans just okay. The potato salad was very good.I think the refillable sodas were less than $2 (Coke products).Prices (other than the soda) were not cheap but were in line with BBQ prices. Service was friendly and efficient.

Brisket is some of the best I’ve had in SD. Mac and cheese had great flavor but is otherwise pretty weak. Suggestion for the owner, make it easier to speak with the cook. When he’s in the back prepping/cooking it looks like the booth is empty and I’m sure you’re losing business. I’ve passed this place up probably ten times before just because it looked empty.

I really wanted to try the brisket but they were sold out of it and chicken by 6pm. The bbq sauce tasted a lot like a tomato base not so much like bbq sauce. Not my favorite but the pork was tender and juicy so I could get past the bbq sauce issue. I wish the chips were homemade. They definitely had a store bought corn chip taste. Nothing that stood out from the nachos that would make me want to order them again. $25 for nachos and a fountain drink.
