Wonderful meal and service. So sad you are leaving the San Diego market. We have celebrated Christmas Eve and many other special occasions for years. Unlikely we will be going to Florida or Texas, so please consider reopening in Southern California!

So very sad that tonight is the last night of Truluck dining. I am so glad I had the opportunity to enjoy my dinner there on Thursday. I will miss the crabcakes, Miso seabass and that carrot cake!

Last night was my last trip to Truluck's and was a dinner I will never forget! I booked a table outdoors for my large party since that was the only availability they had, but when we got to the restaurant they surprised us by putting us in a private room for free! I was at a loss for words! On top of that the service and food quality was 10/10 as always, and my group had the most amazing time! Thank you Derek, Liz, Megan, Athena, Tammy, Jennica, Emma, Alex, Lee, and everyone else who made Truluck's so excellent, you will be missed in San Diego!

First it is sad this favorite place is closing with the sale of all the land in that center :(. Lady think UTC needs in another high rise for tech w UCSD :( On the experience —I partly understand w the restaurant closing on the 23 rd. Staff is not as sharp as normal times. Very slow service. Was overcharged on my order because the waitress mis represented the petit meals. So her tip was less than I normally works do.

We went there to celebrate our anniversary after visiting the one in Washington DC. The food and service were excellent! We then learned that this was the last week the restaurant would be open. The property is going to be demolished to make room for a high rise. I hope another Truluck's opens in SoCal or Las Vegas so we can dine there again.

This wonderful restaurant will be closing its doors at the end of the week -not because there's anything wrong with the restaurant or its food. They lost their lease. Too bad for San Diegans.

Trulucks is by far the best restaurant in San Diego and it should not be closing. The food is always delicious and fresh while the atmosphere is enjoyable and light. A true dining experience.
It was another wonderful dinner experience at Truluck's. I am still sad this location is closing but at least we were able to support the staff and taste our favorite dishes one last time.

It was a bad experience! Our very last experience- and that is bad.... Learned San Diego location is closing!!! Sad, MANY great family memories along with flat out the best service and the best food. Me and my family want to say THANK YOU to everyone in the San Diego location for always making us feel as though we were the only people in the place. Truluck's you will be missed!
It is very upsetting that this restaurant is forced out of their lease and is leaving La Jolla. Our meal yesterday was fantastic as always and we will miss this restaurant in the future. Our favorites remain the Stone Crab, the Chilian Sea Bass, the Wedge Salad, and the Carrot Cake. Charles was a great server, and we wish he and the entire staff the best in finding new jobs.

Truluck's menu looks good on paper but the execution is mediocre. My husband and I enjoyed our appetizer (calamari) and dessert (smores covered ice cream) more than our entree (salmon/scallops/rib eye). The cook takes too long and wait staff are too busy to check up on us. Drinks were at least 25 minutes late and the time from first course to second and then to third is just way too long. I was full by the time third course came in because we opted to finish first and second courses while waiting. A little disappointed on this dinner experience.

So sad that this restaurant is closing Dec. 24, 2022! (They lost their lease). It has been our favorite special dining venue, and the only place in San Diego that we know carries stone crab legs. They have cut back the menu too (fewer dessert choices especially). Our fish was a little dry; we mentioned this to our waiter and were comped a carrot cake dessert for the entire table. We will miss Truluck's and hope that they will find another venue in San Diego (although we were told it would be at least 3 years before corporate does this).
