Bouncer is very passive aggressive. You bounce at a steak restaurant not a club in Miami. Spent $90 on a steak dinner with my wife that I could have made at home.

A dark, homey feeling bar with a really solid handle on the drinks! Parking in the area is easy, then head on in and pick a table or a seat at the bar and enjoy.

Brink your grub on. This place rocks, it's filled with plenty of patrons who adore the feeling of community togetherness. Drinks are spot on, being that it's lent, I ordered the salmon kabob, tasty. My friends had the ribeyes, which they have the privilege of never cooking one over an open fire. Lesson learned and new friends made along the way. Outstanding garlic bread to add to the grill and toast to your perfection. No one to blame for I'll prepared meal here. Can't blame society. Cheers

First off the service. The host/security cowboy guy......We checked in but he never ever asked our name. He came off very arrogant This was my second time ever coming here. I was so disappointed and was looking for a great experience . What a bummer........

2/26/24 10 pm Rude. Literally rushed out. Bouncer, busser dude was so passive aggressive with us. Sucks since we work and live in the neighborhood. Do better for your neighbors.

A dirty old bar and institution of San Diego’s - more than 50 years old and it shows in the right ways. Order the filet, I grilled it perfectly. The bar service is great, even on a full and busy Friday night. You’re paying for the experience. You’re not paying for the best food in the world, or the cleanest. Plan for there to be a strong hipster showing.

It's dark but it definitely a good vibe! If you don't mind standing to make your steak; you'll love the spot!

The food was amazing and it was a fun experience getting to cook your own steak. They had seasonings and sauces to add to make it however you like.

Food was delicious (prices went way up, almost to the they should cook it for you level) and the drinks were strong. Always love this place, took my daughter for her first time/birthday and she also liked it!

great bevvys! they obvio love a strong beverage as well. different people on any given night but they do ID everyone no matter the age so bf for real and just bring your ID. you can grill something if you wanted to as well which is an american hot pot situation in one of the most historic bars in San Diego

Great spot for a drink with the crew or late night steak dinner. The staff will take care of you and guide you if you're lost but get on that grill and meet a new friend over some nice cuts.
