The food at this downtown location (and the North Park location) is always fantastic. The pork belly broth (Tonkatsu) in the Underbelly Ramen is flavorful with just enough salt.I also love that they have sparkling water on tap (available without an additional charge). The wait staff are patient and fun! The bar at this location is very fun and picturesque. It's an excellent photo spot. I also like that they have seating upstairs.

Outstanding place among mediocre “Italian restaurants”. Great ramen, mind blowing design, original concept.

Would have given 5 stars. But food was a little cold. Overall, I would go back. It was good. The pork baos were tasty. Broth and noodles were delicious. I would have liked to have more chicken in the bowl.

We got the vegetable ramen. The star of the show is undoubtedly the broth. Unlike some vegetarian broths that can be thin and watery, this one boasts a depth of flavor that comes from hours of simmering vegetables, mushrooms, and perhaps even a hint of seaweed. The first sip is a warm hug, rich and savory with an underlying sweetness. It's a testament to the chef's skill in coaxing out the full potential of the vegetables. The only negatives were the overly loud rock music and the extremely wasteful gas flames outside, purportedly for warning guests, even though it was a nice warm afternoon.

Womp womp. Underbelly? Underwhelming! I got the beast. Didn’t like it. It was fine but didn’t finish it and wouldn’t come here again. Too bland!
