I was staying as a guest at the hotel. Only option in the approximate vicinity. Zero vegetarian options.You figure the restaurant would carry vegetarian options since it is located in San Diego CA. Hosts and servers were rude.

Hilton Garden Inn, restaurants, the food here is incredible. I had a California burrito, and is probably one of the most flavorful I've ever had. It had eggs, fresh pico de gallo and this amazing salsa that was incredible. California Breakfast Burrito California Breakfast Burrito

I never thought I’d give a hotel restaurant 5 stars for a meal but omg was this omelet incredible. Highly recommended, they home make their salsa, and my server was right when she said it was delicious. I liked that the serving was large but not so massive. A bit pricey but the convenience and the taste were worth it.

The most important value to this restaurant was the convenience. We stayed at the hotel for a family get together and it was raining. Having a restaurant inside the lobby of the hotel was ideal. The food was pretty good but not amazing by any stretch of the imagination. The prices were too high and the service was adequate. I was unhappy they charged me twice for the meal and the second charge pended my account for 5 days before it was released. Not cool.

Verde Kitchen and Bar is located inside the Hilton Garden Inn. They offer a variety of breakfast options in the morning and a good menu for small meals in the evening. The bar is full service but has limited options for mixed drinks or beer varieties after 5:00pm. It's a good place to grab something to eat or pick up a drink to take to the room before 10:00pm.

Over the course of 5 years or so , I've stayed at this hotel and eaten at Verde Kitchen . I've yet to have a bad meal . I just recently tried it again and for a small lobby hotel cafe in a Hilton , it stands apart . Michele the Bartender occasionally does double duty as the waitress and the lobby bartender . Michele makes a weary traveler feel welcome and goes out of her way to accomdate. She is the constant that will keep me comming back .
The staff were very kind and accommodating however the prices are way over the top even for the area. I had the eggs benedict and the hollandaise tasted like bland mayonnaise. The coffee was not included with the meal and cost an extra 5 dollars… when the hotel provides free coffee 25ft away, insulting!

This restaurant is in the lobby of the Hilton hotel. I was staying there so I didn't need parking, but there was plenty of parking down the hill. I sat at the bar to have a drink and it happened to be happy hour. Which I think is from 5-7pm, not sure on the days. The bartender was great, very sweet. I ordered wings and I thought they were really good. I'd come here again next time I'm at that hotel.

This review is for the restaurant in the Hilton Garden Inn Old Town. I usually don't eat in hotel restaurants but we were tired & didn't feel like looking for a restaurant. Plus hotel gave us a coupon for 50% off one Appetizer. Small menu but nice variety. I ordered the Verde quesadilla appetizer & it was filled with delicious veggies. It was larger than I expected and probably would have been enough for my dinner. However I had already ordered a Tossed Green Salad with added salmon. Wow! This was the best tossed salad I've ever had! Filled with fresh diced veggies. My friend ordered steak & said it was very good too. Prices are slightly higher but you're paying for convenience & good quality. The only negative for me (hence 1 less star) was the restaurant is part of the hotel lobby & the lobby has a very strong fragrance. In addition, the server (who was very nice) wore strong perfume, making for a less than enjoyable experience for me. Food wise it was 5 stars! If fragrances don't bother you, I highly recommend this restaurant.
