Short Review:Pass. Now I will say, I ate here during Comic Con and they had a reduced menu. But, pass. And for an Omni Hotel lobby restaurant and bar, they should be ashamed of themselves. Long Review:What a fall from grace. This restaurant has been an upscale branded chain restaurant in years past, but now it's this - which feels like a local proprietor saw an opportunity to run a restaurant and bar just to get the liquor license. Everything is now awful. Let me explain. So, this is my 20th Comic Con. And when I needed to run across the street from the convention center and have a decent bite to eat with only a little bit of time, I'd go to the Omni. I could always rely on the consistent quality and taste of the food and really good service. When I walked in this time, I noticed the change in ownership and immediately realized that this was being run like a small bar with an oversized eating area. They have the audacity to have a hostess and ask you to wait to be seated. It's not like there was an abundance of wait staff to help. It felt like you could literally just sit anywhere. Gone we're the clothed tables and a packed restaurant with people buzzing from the excitement of the Con. Instead, there were people at almost every table - in the middle of a Saturday afternoon - just sitting around using the place as a respite from the sun and madness of the foot traffic outside. I took a seat at the bar. I figured it would be fast and I could get a quick bite. I was greeted by the two bartenders. One looked like a porn star and the other his dealer. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but not by much. They were flirting with all the women and calling all the dudes "hey bro". I ordered the "smash burger" because how can you mess up a cheeseburger, right? What I got was a charbroiled burger in between two over-seeded buns and topped with nothing else except the Bob's Big Boy thousand island dressing on it. The bun was cold and too big for the meat. It was absolutely the WORST burger I've had. Ugh! The fries that came with it were over salted with both table salt and flavored seasoning salt. Also disgusting. Well, next time I'm looking for a quick bite, I'll call Door Dash.

Charcuterie board is a must to order. Not a big fan of pretzel, but this one had a nice crust about it which made it so tasty. The sticky chicken wings were finger lickin' yummy. Lastly, the churro dessert was a nice sweet ending, just rather large. Everyone here was friendly and attentive. We were staying at Omni Hotel so having West Coast Social downstairs made it very convenient for us to grab something good to eat.

Really poor - disinterested barman offered no help in choosing from menu, the served a glass of flat, rancid- tasting ‘champagne’. When told about he ‘champagne’ he poured the glass down the sink and said nothing. If you find nd your self outside this bar keep walking- plenty of others nearby

JORDAN,Ryan deserves a raise. He made the best espresso martini ever. After hours! Even though the cafe was closed. He went above and beyond. Who does that anymore? Even when I asked for a coffee bean on my espresso martini, he provided it. This place is excellent and you would be lucky to have Ryne as your server if you frequented this establishment, the other two ladies, the other two ladies at the bar we're also excellent and we're great trainers and they are the recent Ryan is excellent. The staff is great! Ryan made the best drinks and provided some great local recommendations during our stay. Highly recommend stopping in for a drink or 2!

So sat at the dining area for 20 minutes with no service. The two bartenders made eye contact and acknowledged me there but nothing. Everything looked good but the ignorance of the staff is just amazing.

Food 8/10Service 9/10Environment 8/10The steak was cooked to perfection and the potatoes were pretty awesome. The carrots however, were hard as rock. The tacos had fresh fish and a light taste, but I felt something was missing from that dish. The baked meatballs were as expected, but had good taste. We ordered shoestring fries that were salty, but had a nice crunch. The service was spectacular and everyone was so welcoming. Our server was genuine and able to accommodate all of our needs. The restaurant is self seating and it wasn't too busy when we came in. Definitely has an up-scale vibe, but dress can be casual. The environment has that downtown feel when you step outside as everything is better just to walk. A lot of eating places near by, and a nightclub too, but there isn't much shopping around.
