Great little retail center Mexican restaurant. Lots of attentive employees run this popular SoCal Mexican "standards" restaurant. I had the breakfast burrito with Chorizo - a solid BB. Salsa bar seems to feature house made salsas of all different colors and 'picanteness.

I stop here for breakfast a few times a month, usually getting the ham, bacon, and potato breakfast burrito, but asking for no ham and adding refried beans. It is an EXCELLENT product. I would get it every day if I were rich enough. The staff are very friendly and their salsa bar is also very good. They are not stingy with their napkins either, something I've noticed at other places. My only complaint would be that they charge me for adding refried beans when I've asked for no ham; they won't treat it like a substitution. Other dishes I've ordered have also been delicious. I would recommend this place to everyone. Note: I do not think they have public restrooms.

Honestly, I questioned the score rating before going, but it truly was good. From the beans & rice (most of the time it's one or the other not both) to the chile verde. I never found someone who makes it with that spice to it and they do!!! I'm not from the area, but when I come back definitely will be back here. Horchata was good too, a little much on the cinnamon but still good as most make it more watery.

Yesenia's is my favorite taco shop in the area. It was so good 4 days in a row when I was working near I went there for lunch in a row and always ordered a carne asada burrito. It was really good tasting and the size was great. Salsa selection is great . Bravo you are the best taco shop around in Carmel Mountain and you do have great prices !!!

Solid Mexican food in SD! I live in Sacramento now so I really miss just going to a local spot and getting a burrito, a carne asada fries, some taquitos. It's just so quintessential SoCal and I love it. So when we heard this was the go to spot in the area, it didn't disappoint. Got the most ginormous burrito and it was everything I missed about SoCal. I know there's way better Mexican food but when you just want something that hits the spot and is nostalgic of those late nights with friends in high school and college, this is the place to go.

We have loved everything we have tried at this taco shop! Excellent, friendly service every time. The colors are nice with fresh looking clean paint. We make excuses to go to Carmel Mountain so we can eat there again.

Got the burrito Mexicana which was pretty tasty. Sort of like an alambre burrito? I was warned that it would be really spicy but I didn't think it was anything crazy. They have a lot of salsas and all of them are great. They really make the burritos sing.

Yesenia's is our family's go to for Mexican food. The service is efficient and friendly, the Carne Asada is great, but we pretty much like everything we've ever gotten there over the past 10 or 15 years. Rolled tacos, great burritos, and I really like their flan.
