i came here on a friday evening with a friend around 5:45 pm. there was no line so we were seated immediately. when we left an hour later, there was a line. we came during restaurant week and they were doing a $45/person dinner menu, but i opted to just order from the regular menu since i wasn't a big fan of the appetizer options and really wanted to try the bucatini, which wasn't on the restaurant week menu. when our food arrived, the portions seemed slightly on the smaller side so in retrospect i felt like it would've been nice to get an appetizer to share, but none of the appetizer options were that appealing to me. i like burrata but it came with mushrooms and i don't like mushrooms (this is just a personal preference, though). even though the portions were small, i wasn't hungry but i also wasn't full, which left plenty of room for dessert. we ordered the nutella sundae - it felt a bit much for 2 people (3 is probably a better number), and there was a LOT of syrup. as for the ambiance, the biggest impression i got was that the music was pretty loud. this made the atmosphere not conducive to intimate conversations, so i would mostly go here if i wanted a fast dinner at an early time. otherwise, i feel that the atmosphere is not worth the wait.

The vibes here are impeccable, the drinks were super tasty, and the food was scrumptious. We had great service. The restaurant is a little tight of a squeeze in some areas but I like that vibe a lot. I loved the burrata (it is not a normal burrata but I liked it) and the bucatini!

A place with tasty pasta and pizza. Not a perfect score, but around 70-80 points?

Loved our experience at a Mano! Our server was incredibly sweet! She gave the best recommendations and really made our experience incredible. We had the steak, cauliflower, burrata, foccacia, lamb ravioli, several cocktails, and a carafe of one of the reds (all excellent recommendations by our server). The restaurant was very cute, clean, and busy, although we were able to get seated right away. Definitely recommend a Mano for a fun evening out. It's a great place to take parents, out of town guests, friends, and oneself.

Recently went to A mano and their food was amazingI loved the vegetarian salad and pasta with arancini. The arancini was made with saffron risotto and the aroma and taste was amazingHaven’t tried their pizza but looked so good.I got an affogato for dessert, it wasn’t in the menu but when I asked they said, they serve it with a mascarpone ice cream which was so tasty.Prices were reasonable, not cheap but the quality of food was goodVegetarian options: The salad was amazing! Highly recommended

Came here for a lovely brunch, with friends highly recommend. The portion size is just right so that you are full but not feel stuffed. I also highly recommend their focaccia, it was so soft and fluffy paired with their Olive spread it was so divine.

Party of four light lunch on Friday. We happened upon a Mano walking around the Hayes Valley district. All of us were just moderately hungry, but we wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather with a light lunch and a Mano was the perfect choice. It wasn’t very busy and we were able to choose a seat in their outdoor dining section, which was very comfortable and well protected from traffic and pedestrian flow on the sidewalk. We opted to order a few items and share, which included the Chicken Polepettine (meatballs) and cauliflower from the antipasti portion of the menu and the mushroom pizza from the pizza portion of the menu. The server said the meatball appetizer portion was 3 meatballs, but they added a fourth so each of us could have one - they were perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful and served in a mildly spicy marinara sauce with 2 toast points. The cauliflower appetizer included roasted cauliflower with a mildly spicy lemon chili sauce that complimented the cauliflower perfectly. For the main, the mushroom pizza had a very thin crust with a lot of flavor from the mushrooms, shallots, sage crema, and garlic - a great combination of flavors. Lastly, we also had a small dog with us and the server brought him a bowl of water, which was a very nice additional level of service. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I want to like a Mano more than I do. It has a prime location in Hayes Valley, the waitstaff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is incredible. It is always such a lively and fun place to grab a bite. But the reason it is not a regular restaurant in my rotation is because of the food. I've tried four different pastas on the menu, and they have always been underwhelming. The pizza has been tasty, but to be an Italian restaurant and to not do pasta well is criminal.

Pretty good, but likely wouldn’t come back here soon. The tuna crudo was not flavorful, and the lamb pasta was unbalanced with too much going on. The pizza and foccacia were nice and we loved the panna cotta. Our server was excellent!

Good ambience and service but unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations. I had high hopes given the reviews but the taste was just so-so. We ordered the salami pizza and it was way too salty and just didn’t blend very well. The clam pasta was also a bit of a let down as there was not much flavor. I also wished there were more toppings as I felt it was mostly just pasta and the ratio felt off. My friend ordered the mushroom pasta and I don’t think she enjoyed it very much as she didn’t finish the rest of her dish. I often enjoy trying new places but i don’t think I would visit again.

In a fantastic neighborhood for a full night out, this place has a casual vibe while remaining bustling and energetic. Parking can be tricky, however, so maybe ride share or use public transport, or be prepared to walk a few blocks.Chicory salad was a stand-out with the tuna crudo. Pasta tasted fresh, perfectly chewy and sauces flavorful. I have a sense any sauce/preparation would be great here. Good vegetarian options. Excellent cocktails.

Great place for a meal outside. Double date approved. Their non-alcoholic drinks are as good as the alcoholic ones. The funghi pizza and margherita pizza were tasty. The lamp pasta was also satisfying.
