I got the prosciutto sandwich from A16 and it was a pretty great sandwich. It had the fresh flavors of a garden with its crunchy arugula, fragrant herbs and hearty olive oil. The burrata was cool and calming and provided good substance. And obviously the prosciutto was very good and added a nice salty flare. The bread was very high quality. My main qualm is the price. I loved the A16 restaurant 10-15 years ago when I got up to the Marina, so was excited to see this related Italian market. Their display of pre-made, white-paper-wrapped sandwiches looked interesting, and after asking & agreeing to the price (nearly $20 with tax & tip), requested an Italian.The short, light package I received was concerning, but until I actually unwrapped it at home, I didn't quite realize the extent of the absurdity. Delicious ingredients stingy portions. My prosciutto sandwich had about two or three whole slices packed against the outside of the sandwich. That's it. And for $17!!! They might as well move their location to an airport with that kind of tactic.
