During our recent trip to San Francisco, we had the pleasure of dining at Athidi Indian Restaurant and were thoroughly impressed by the authentic South Indian cuisine. The biryani was flavorful, the pakodi perfectly crispy, and the dosas were just the right mix of soft and crisp. Not to forget, the masala chaas was a refreshing complement to our meal. Portions were generously sized, ensuring a satisfying dining experience. Hats off to the team at Athidi for their fantastic work!Vegetarian options: Vijayawada Paneer Biryani

I was disappointed with my takeout order. I called in my order and emphasized three times that I wanted a family size curry and a regular curry. (I later found they have a toasttab ordering website that is not linked from their regular website.) They said it would take 20 minutes, but when I arrived 20 minutes later, they needed another 10 minutes.Once I got home, I realized they had given me 2 individual sized curries instead of making one family size. They also charged me an extra SF mandate fee that was not on the menu, and is not charged through their toasttab website. I found the pistachio korma to be excessively sweet, while the saag paneer was good. The garlic naan was fine but $5 is very expensive per portion. At least their interior is nice?

Food was tasty in different ways. Chicken tikka felt a bit ehh. Tikka masala was very sweet and the lamb voodolo was tasty but only 2-3 pieces of lamb.Overall we wanted to try a different Indian restaurant in the neighborhood to give it a shot and felt like the portion was small. We ordered 3 entrees with two naans and rice. Could have eaten more when finished.

Impressed. The chicken curry dosa had so much flavor and Sambar was really good too. The Saag Paneer was a little runny but great flavor and nicely spiced.

The worse chicken tikka masala that i have ever had. There were the smallest portions of chicken I have ever had in my life. The pieces of chicken were the size of a penny and it was full of green bell pepper and big pieces of onion. I will not give this place 1 star because the service was proper. I'm just very disappointed with the food, the price, and the ambience.

Ordered from aditi for our weekly order out, an order of samosas, garlic naan, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala. The garlic naan and the samosas were AMAZING and definitely wellcooked and put together. We were not the biggest fan of the buttee chicken and chicken tikka masala. The butter chicken had almost no chicken in it and the chicken tikka masala seemed just be the butter chicken with some peper in it.It does have a great price point and were going to come back for those samosas!

Solid spot for casual Indian food in the Mission - I recommend their biryanis, especially their vegetarian paneer biriyani. Note: Come by 7ish pm on a weekend to try their biriyani because they might run out. Their crispy gobi manchurian is a great snack to share but their masala fries and paneer tikka are nothing outstanding.

Food has always been great, but service is really what makes me come back. The server is always so kind and welcoming, and on more than one occasion I've gotten small free gestures: rice & dessert. The hours are also great as I'm often working late and they are open a bit later than some other restaurants. Take out and sit down options also make it very accessible.
