18 piece dinner omakase was so dank. I would say the appetizers were better than the actual nigiri because they were more unique in flavor and texture. However, the fish was all around outstanding.

Food and service were very good. The music is not good: too noisy, loud, and distracts from the wonderful food and conversation. The ambience would be good if there were either no music at all or simply soft, low volume jazz.

Food was very high quality but the overall experience was not worth the high price. The service was nothing special. We sat at the counter in the hope of having more engagement with the chefs/servers but it was perfunctory. And the amount of the food left us still hungry.

For the price of a flight to Japan, dine at this sublime San Francisco omakase restaurant instead! Seriously the best sushi we've ever had. Impeccable. Interesting. Perfectly paced. This was a special occasion for us and absolutely worth it.

Wonderful omakase menu, both the fish and the sushi rice are supurb. Every course was a winner! We added the sake pairing and truly enjoyed it. The space is sleek and beautiful and very welcoming. I do with the seating around the bar was more comfortable but everything else was splendid.

Most of all we really enjoyed the service, from the staff to the wonderful conversation we had with Chef Hayashi. We can't wait to return!
