Aslam's is my absolute favorite Indian/Pakistani food in the Bay Area! Huge fan of their chicken madras and saag paneer. The naan is always perfectly toasty and I'd recommend a mango lassi to accompany it all. The quantities are satisfying and we often end up taking a whole extra meal's worth home in a to go box. On top of the excellent food, the service is phenomenal. It's the type of warm, friendly, family-owned business that makes SF feel like home. They've been a low-key institution on Valencia st. for at least as long as I've ben here, and quickly became a go-to. If you want to impress someone by taking them to that 'sleeper spot' with incredible food, take 'em to Alsam's!

I've ben eating at Aslam's for over a decade and consistently it serves up the delicious comfort North-Indian/Pakistani food that makes you happy. As with any of this food, it is overwhelmingly better when enjoyed piping hot straight from the kitchen (especially the tandoor) - another reason to avoid any delivery apps that gouge from restaurants and provide nothing in return. Great place to take the whole family and has tons of dishes that are made mild so kids can enjoy as well.Vegetarian options: I love the chana masala, the dal, the baingan bhartha (roasted eggplant)Kid-friendliness: Great place to take the whole family and has tons of dishes that are made mild so kids can enjoy as well.

From the moment we stepped inside, the ambiance was warm and cozy. Our delightful waitress (Sorry, I think her name was Amy) was not just a waitress but her sweetness and attentiveness added a personal touch to our evening. Amy's recommendations, especially on spice levels, showcased her expertise and passion for the cuisine. Samosas - "must-have" starter that set the bar high. The Tandoor Prawns followed suit, bursting with flavors. Chicken Korma to the fiery Lamb Vindaloo, was a testament to the chef's mastery in balancing spices and textures. The Bhindi Jalfrezi, a vegetable medley, and the fragrant Pulao rice complemented the main course. The Garlic & Basil Naan, a delightful twist to the traditional bread, proved to be a perfect accompaniment. The Kachumber, a refreshing salad, added freshness to the palette. We had the pleasure of meeting Saad, one of the skilled cooks behind the magic. What sets Aslam's Rasoi apart was the exceptional service. Amy's personalized attention reached its pinnacle when she surprised us with a complimentary Rasmalai dessert. This cheesy delight was a refreshing and sweet finale to our meal In conclusion, Aslam's Rasoi is a hidden gem and we'll definitely be back!

Great food! Their pakodas are amazing, the spices/curries are different from the standard desi restaurant. Service is very friendly (it's family run by Aslam, his son and daughter-in-law, and they're all very sweet). Would definitely recommend.

Aslam's food is exceptional. I come here often and the most challenging thing is deciding what to order. The bone-in tandoori chicken, biryani (chicken or vegetable) and the seafood curry are my favorites. That said, everything I've ordered has been delicious. The naan is perfect. The staff are kind and willingly accommodate special requests, e.g., sometimes I want a bit of chicken in my vegetable biryani. And since I am something of a woos when it comes to spicy dishes, I am grateful that when I request mild, I get mild. The restaurant is spacious and the acoustics are comfortable for the hearing challenged. If you can't find street parking, there is a city parking garage nearby.

I've been going to Aslam's Rasoi for the past few years and it is one of my favorite restaurants in SF. Fantastic tandoori, generous portions, delicious curries, fluffy naans, and amazing chai. Sonia is the sweetest and so helpful, eating there is always so much fun. Very warm and inviting atmosphere.

Aslam's!!! A friend took me here a few weeks back. The service is very warm and welcoming. We ordered the bone-in tandoori chicken, matar paneer (green pees, homemade cheese cubes with spices in tomato cream sauce), and the kachumber (cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes). I was just blown away by how delicious everything was! It was so good that we returned this past weekend and ordered the same thing! And it didn't disappoint. This place is a gem! I can't wait to go back again!

Great tandoori food and the ambiance is nice as well - and the bathrooms are clean. The spice level is adjustable, which is great for our family and the lamb kebobs and the tandoori chicken is to die for.

If I could give more stars I would. This place is fabulous. The service by Sonia is AMAZING. Not only is she so sweet but pays attention to every detail. The restaurant is larger, clean, chill vibe that makes you feel comfortable and safe to enjoy your delicious food. And speaking of the food... you can taste the difference! Fresh and flavorful. The Naan is both crispy and soft... how can that be?! They have ruined me from all the other restaurants. They will be the only Indian/Pakistani place I will eat from. I can't recommend them enough!Vegetarian options: They can make so many things veggie. But we luv the potatoes and cheese TikkaDietary restrictions: My group had a picky vegetarian...someone who was vegan and a gluten-free....all loved thier foodWheelchair accessibility: No steps to worry about and wide doors. lots of space to fit a wheelchair at a table.

Authentic family recipes full of delicious spices. Food is always served hot & fresh. II usually order chicken tandoori or lamb. One of my go-to spots in the city. If you can’t find street parking, there is a parking structure around the block.
