Historically I'm not much of a baklava person. They're fine, but often too sweet and the texture isn't my favorite. Baklavastory is a different story. Their baklava is perfection, with a light and crisp dough, top quality nuts, and just the right amount of sweet. We walked past and went in on a whim, and walked out with a tray. The owner is very kind and told us about his obsessive process to make the best possible product. We'll definitely be back!

We ordered the large gray pistachio baklava. As a Turkish American, I can tell this is the best baklava I ever had in US. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. The owner was very friendly, offered us free samples and served the tray fresh out of oven. Highly recommended...

Baklavastory in San Francisco achieves what seems almost impossible—it surpasses the baklava of Gaziantep, a city whose culinary significance is so profound that UNESCO has recognized it as a Creative City of Gastronomy. At Baklavastory, the deep respect for tradition is palpable, with ingredients sourced directly from the very heart of Gaziantep, ensuring each bite carries the essence of its rich culinary heritage. However, it is the skill and artistry with which they elevate this classic dessert that truly sets them apart. The result is a baklava that not only honors its ancestral roots but also redefines them, offering a taste that is both authentically Turkish and uniquely San Franciscan. For anyone seeking to experience the zenith of culinary craftsmanship, Baklavastory is a journey worth taking.
