Classic establishment.If you're into old-school atmosphere then this is place. Not a SF resident but been here many times starting in 1979 (I know, mosyt readers here weren't even a twinkle in parents eye...)Very comfortable eating alone here & generally at bar. I believe food is at consistent high level ?
I feel bad that I have to say this because our waiter was so kind but they are understaffed so the service is slow and the food is not consistent and I think it is priced too highBalboa Café you do not get my vote !!

Apparently this place is famous for their espresso martinis?? Wild. Had one there yesterday and it was not good. Bitter, watery, hadn’t been well shaken. Oh and overpriced.Good looking crowd though if you’re into drunk, under 30s finance bros.
