I'm not hugely knowledgeable about Nepalese food, to me it seems like a mix between Chinese and Indian food, leaning more Indian. The food was good but nothing to call home about, all in all unremarkable, but with a good ambiance and not overly pricey. I don't think there would be any particular reason to pick this place over some of the better Indian restaurants in the city, but perfectly acceptable place to grab dinner in the area.

Great service! The place is clean and decently spacious! The food was amazing :) The inside is super cute, the parking isn't that bad for SF! Great naan and butter chicken, decent prices!

I recently visited Basecamp (Nepalese restaurant) and had a delightful experience. The vegetable Momos and kale chaat were particularly outstanding, with their flavors and textures blending perfectly. They were definitely the highlights of the meal. I also tried the vegetable tofu chowmein, which was decent but didn't quite match the excellence of the Momos and kale chaat. However, the restaurant offers a wide variety of vegetarian options, which is impressive. Compared to other Nepalese restaurants I've been to, this one stands out for its flavorful and tasteful dishes. I would highly recommend trying their vegetable Momos and kale chaat for a delicious culinary experience and other dishes as well.

I loved the butter chicken. The pieces of chicken were big and meaty. Curry was right enough thickness and not watery. Also loved that it wasn't too spicy but flavorful. The best part was that they had a sour beer (Victory Sour) option on the drink menu.

Hit all the right spots taste wise, ambience wise and price point wise (2 dishes+ side under $50 before taxes and tip). Chicken chow mein was really spicy (but we loved it). Garlic naan went well with the mild butter chicken (toddler enjoyed it as well). We had leftovers as well so that was awesome. One star off only because the wait time, both to be seated and for the food was longer than we had anticipated (we visited around 7pm) and there was not really a space in the restroom if you visit with a little one and need to change a diaper. Plus points however for having feminine hygiene products in the bathroom. Not that you go to a restaurant for this but it felt like a very thoughtful touch.

This places is HOT & BUSY. I took a star because it took some time to get a table. I wish I could only take 1/2 a star, but the food was SOOO GOOD! & the owner was very sweet and has passion for her food/ restaurant. This place has such a beautiful story behind it. Great place to go to, but get there EARLY or make a reservation because you might be waiting for 30 mins or more. ( I went on a Wednesday night and it was BUSY)

Good ambiance and rakshi is good. Taste is mild like American Indian. Chowmein is worth trying.

Food, service, and atmosphere are phenomenal. Usually get 2-3 small plates to share and an entree each and have yet to have anything that wasn’t amazing.Favorites have been the pork & mustard greens, lamb ra matar, chow mein for mains and onion fritters, momos, kale chaat, and spicy cauliflower for small plates. The naan is also really, really good.

The food tastes good but the quantity is abysmal. 1/3 of the box is empty when you order

Love this place the wait staff were absolutely lovely and the food was incredible I especially loved the kale chaat and the onion fritters. Everything was Devine! And the food service was quicker than I expected for a restaurant that seems to be often busy. Great ambiance also with outdoor seating.

Great food and quick service. We love their momos, pumpkin curry, naan and house sake the most, but you really can't go wrong!

Butter chicken - my favorite dish here, perfectly balanced spices and flavors. Most butter chicken I’ve eaten around the area is just really orange which can fool you into thinking it’s packed with flavor, until you eat it and realize it’s all just food color. Also probably the first one I’ve had here in a while that wasn’t crazy sweet like they all end up being at restaurants. Rich, creamy and flavorful. 10/10Garlic naan - soft and fluffy, could use a bit more garlic because you can just never have too much. 8/10Pork ribs - falls right off the bone, cooked to perfection, love the gravy. It came with tingmo which is a steamed bread - also delicious. 9/10beautiful surprise of a place. Loved the food. Would definitely eat from here again.Update- took a star off, got takeout another time and the food didn’t taste nearly as good. We got butter chicken, naan, rice again and also decided to try the pork momos. Didn’t enjoy them much. The whole meal was 6/10

This spot always hits! Perfect for a big group or small, they have something for everyone. We always start with samosas and momos(dumpling like appetizers). I had the butter chicken with garlic naan. So creamy and delicious. The servers are friendly and quick. Will be coming back for dine in and take out.
