Love Blackbird! It's such a lovely spot to meet for a libation with friends. Tonight I met some people who were passing through town, and I wanted to bring them to a quintessential San Francisco spot. The art is always different, and the vibe is always mellow. The bartenders are great, if a little busy, but they are always personable.Somehow I always find parking in front, to boot!
Blackbird is a cool neighborhood bar that is never too crowded, well at least we've always been able to snag a seat! There's pool in the back if you're lucky to snag that though. Decent happy hour that goes through Friday with $10 drinks like Aperol Spritz and Old Fashioned. Bartenders put care into the drink. This is the sister bar to the Detour so you can also order food from there (I love the Detour's food!)Would be perfect for date nights. Also dog friendly!My star rating:5...read full review

This bar is moody as hell. Feels like I’m walking into a tavern that Gandalf would be chilling in the back. Ordered a Pisco Sour, the egg white part was the “foamy not good version”, but appreciated it. Normal S.F. bar prices. Not the easiest place to converse. Water containers filled with water and cups to grab, we love to see it.
