Boulettes Pizza Bar is a hidden gem in San Francisco. The restaurant is located in the Ferry Building Marketplace, and it offers a delicious selection of pizzas, pastas, and salads. The pizzas are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and they are cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven. The olive oil is also excellent, and it is used to great effect in the dishes. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. One of the best things about Boulettes Pizza Bar is the Lola sempre Margarita pizza. This pizza is made with fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and basil, and it is topped with a drizzle of olive oil. The pizza is cooked to perfection, and the flavors are simply incredible. The crust is thin and crispy, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. This is one of the best pizzas I have ever had, and I highly recommend it. Another great thing about Boulettes Pizza Bar is the location. The restaurant is located in the Ferry Building Marketplace, which is a beautiful and historic building. The marketplace is also home to a variety of other restaurants, shops, and attractions, so there is always something to do before or after your meal. One of the only downsides to Boulettes Pizza Bar is that it can be a bit busy. The restaurant is popular, and it can be difficult to get a table during peak hours. However, the wait is usually worth it, as the food is so good. Overall, I highly recommend Boulettes Pizza Bar. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. If you are looking for a great pizza in San Francisco, this is the place to go. We used to love Boulettes. You would find us there early on a Saturday browsing the larder or eating beignets. Unfortunately too many recent bad experiences have soured our relationship with the larder and Boulibar. Give us a reason to come back one day! For now, move on.

A group of us met for pizza on a Friday. We grabbed tables at 5 since they close at 6. We ordered the following: - Lola sempre: burrata was few and far between but creamy and delicious - Mushroom: light and tasty - mixed meat: tasty The crust was thin and chewy but it got hard really fast. It may have been because we sat on the side where both doors to the outside was open so the pies got cold pretty fast. Service was good so we may go back to see if the pizzas are better from a warmer location.

Came here for lunch with some coworkers. The restaurant is gorgeous and I love the ambiance. The pizza, salad and hummus plate were all good, but nothing stood out. I think you can find better thin crust pizza for the same price in the city like at Delfina. The burrata one was quite oily and got a bit soggy. The broccolini one was too salty, I think due to the cheese they topped it with. The mushroom one was the better of all three, but again I think there are better places.

Although we arrived right at opening, we were made to feel like VIPs. Beignets as a welcome are brilliant. The menu changes daily; we shared a perfectly prepared Lola Sempre and then a delicious Funghi Pizza. The view of the bay bridge was a bonus.

Ordered takeaway Definitely worth the price Big chunk of salmon, well seasoned, the pastry is little over-baked

Came here for drinks the other day and had a great experience! A great spot to stop while browsing around the ferry building. They have a good selection of cocktails priced $14-16. They also have pizza as bar food that looks great.

The pizza was phenomenal - very thin and light. Highly recommend the one with the broccoli atop (I forgot the name) as it was surprisingly refreshing with a tart finish. Each bite was one to behold. Highly recommend.

We dined here because the line for the oyster place in the Ferry Building was too long and the menu for this restaurant looked simple but good. The staff was quick to greet us and then set up a table for us, we waited like 2 minutes tops to be seated. Tables are really close together so you're basically elbow to elbow with other folks, and there's also some larger "communal" tables that you may end up splitting with another party. That said, staff was quick to stop by with water and provided quick refills throughout our meal. We got the lola sempre pizza and the december seafood soup, both were very tasty and I would recommend. Food came out pretty quickly as well, maybe 10 minutes or less after we ordered. I did find the lola sempre to be a tad expensive for the ingredients, and the seafood soup had a good amount of salmon but I wished it had a bit more broth/soup/stew for you to enjoy. That said, both dishes were tasty. We also got cocktails -- by the bay and a negroni, both were great and alcohol forward so worth the price. The pizza was served on a wooden lazy susan so easy to share with another person and the perfect size for two people. All in all, lovely meal though a tad expensive (maybe just SF prices). The checkout process was a bit awkward because the staff member stands there while you're swiping your card and trying to tip, which I feel could be eased if they just left the machine at your table, and retrieved it once you've departed.

They had run out of everything? So pizza only, okay fine. So we order the special pork belly pizza and mushroom pizza. My bloody Mary doesn't come with any garnish (olives, celery, etc) but I think that is just how they do their bloody Mary's and think nothing of it. We get a different pizza and the mushroom pizza. Okay, fine. We order the pork belly pizza but now they are out of that, and offer a pork Ragu pizza. Okay, fine. We order some more drinks. We get one drink, everyone else in my party is still waiting. We flag someone down and they say that someone is working on our drinks. But we can plainly see, there is no one at the bar mixing our drinks. We flag someone down again and they ask us what our drink order was (I guess it wasn't taken down the first time around)? I get my second bloody Mary but it has an olive garnish now? My husband's second spritz tastes different the second time around too. Needless to say, poor and inconsistent service. The pizzas were food, hence the two stars. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Very friendly staff. Unfortunately we had to continually ask for water refills (very small glasses). Our party of five had 2 pizzas, Lola Sempre and shrimp. Both not very flavorful. Two orders of paella didn't arrive until 15 mins after our pizzas did so we could not all eat together or wait and eat our food cold! ...again not very flavorful and more risotto consistency than paella. Pork belly/chanterelles/polenta soup just blah, boring...empanada not flavorful again. Disappointing.

Really great wood fired pizza. Perfectly sized to serve 2 people. The staff was extremely nice as well. When we spilled one of our cocktails they were nice enough to get us another one and not charge for it. Would definitely come here again

This pizza is so good I cried. The staff were incredibly gracious. As a former New Yorker I crave thin crust, tangy San Marzano tomato sauce, and a blend of high quality cheese. This pizza did not disappoint and I loved spinning the pie around on the wooden lazy Susan it was served on. If I could make one recommendation it would be to wear a hat or place a napkin upon your head while eating. The crust can be so crispy it flies upwards after a hearty bite, resting atop the crown of your head.

Thoroughly enjoyed the lola sempre pizza at Boulettes, with general dollops of burrata on each slice. The crust was wood fired and delicious, and I took particular delight in the artisanal wood board they put the pizza atop. Our high table was teeny though, I suppose ferry building is crammed for real estate. A pleasant meal amidst a farmer's mkt trip though.
