Amazing food. Great portion sizes for the price. Amazing service. Beautiful, comfortable restaurant, although it's a little bit loud when seats are full.

This is one of the most popular Burmese spots in the city that I would recommend trying. It's very spacious and good for large groups as well. I liked the spicy noodles with braised tofu - not too spicy but very flavorful - even though the tofu wasn't crispy, I liked it. We also ordered the tea leaf salad which was very good - I specifically asked them to serve any oyster/shrimp sauce on the side so it was completely vegetarian. I also tried their platha (Burmese flatbread) + dip and it tasted exactly like the Malabar paratha (extremely delicious when served hot). They have other vegetarian options on the menu which I'm looking forward to trying

Within a short walk of Union Plaza. Made reservation for 7pm. Seated quickly upon arrival. Had Tea Leaf Salad, Fiery Vegetables w/Chicken and Eggplant w/Shrimp. All were excellent. Taste on point. Will definitely go back to try out different menu items if I return to San Fran!

Burma love was a warm, bustling space with gorgeous moody lighting and happy groups of excited diners. My 7 colleagues and I were seated on time for our reservation. Immediately, our amazing waiter Saibel delivered glasses of water and took our cocktail orders. I had 2 of the kipling's elixir, which was a yummy gin based drink with lime and Thai basil. We ordered a gang of appetizers including 2 types of chicken wings, tea leaf salad, the Calamari, the skillet shrimp and the lamb samusas. Everything was delicious and uniquely flavorful. The saucy chicken wings were the most popular, followed by the samusas. For an entree I ordered the Mohinga, a traditional catfish soup. It comes with a plate of toppings include a boiled egg, red onion cilantro chilli oil and some crunchy crisps. The soup was delicious and hearty. The flavor was unexpected and I was assuming it would taste like curry but it was more of a hot and sour flavor profile. So yummy! Overall, we had an excellent experience that has moved Burma Love to my top 5 favorites in SF.

I took my team to Burma Love Valencia, since my coworkers were visiting from outside of the Bay Area and had never tried Burmese food before. I'd heard only good things about Burma Love, and our experience did not disappoint. I was able to seamlessly make a reservation for our party of six a week in advance. Upon being seated, our server walked us through the menu and provided their recommendations. We received our food in quick succession, starting with the Green Tea Leaf Salad and Platha and Dip. We also ordered the sautéed eggplant with garlic sauce, nan pia dok (noodles), pea shoots, minced chicken, and coconut rice. Each dish was excellent, although the sautéed eggplant and platha and dip were my favorites that I'd definitely order again. This was plenty of food for our group, and the lazy Susan at our table made sharing a breeze. We're very fortunate to have so many Burmese dining options in the SF Bay Area, but Burma Love stands out for their modern flair and unique dishes. I liked the Valencia location better than their downtown location because Burma Love Valencia felt more intimate and inviting. I know I'll be back to this restaurant, and I think my coworkers have become fans of Burmese food as well.

Worth the wait. Excellent menu & very good cocktails. A great location to start your evening in one of SFs most vibrant neighborhoods. Don't forget to order the tea leaf salad!

We all got different types of noodles, but I think the curry would have been a better choice. The noodles were a bit plain and didn't have a lot of flavor. The staff were very nice though and brought us over a side dish of curry with hi it us even asking or complaining. Will need to go back and try the other food.

Food was great Ambiance is good, smaller place you have to definitely wait if you don't have a reservation. Service was good, quick, attentive to details, can get drinks in the bar area as you wait. Slightly on the expensive side, 3 dishes and 3 drinks with tip $190

The food here is so delicious! My favorite was the tea leaf salad, which surprised me by how good it was. The different mix of ingredients makes for such a good texture - I love when there's different types of crunch in my salad. The sambal shrimp was also very good, and the spicy noodle dish (forgot exact name) was good/okay. I would go back and try other dishes next time but definitely get the tea leaf salad again. The ambiance is very pretty and nice to sit in, and the servers were all kind and attentive. The pricing is quite expensive/a bit too much, but I did end up with some leftovers.

First time having Burmese food and it was delicious! We were visiting the city and found this option and saw some really interesting dishes we wanted to try. Our server was great and attentive! We started with the tea leaf salad and was probably one of our favorites. The flavors and textures are so unique, nothing I've had before. It was sooo good! Definitely order it. The garlic noodles were a little underwhelming, would've liked it a little more garlicky. The group really liked the curry as well. The wok-tossed chili was amazinggg! We loved that one the most. Amazing flavor and tender beef. Really nice lunch here! Check them out.

Food is so good I'm writing this review because I ordered there eggplant shrimp and there was only 2 shrimp in the order lol. Like come on do better when your paying high prices for just eggplant makes you not feel the best

The 2024 SF Restaurant Week deal was really bad. The portion sizes are small, so you actually save a lot of money by just ordering à la carte. The SF restaurant week menus are supposed to be a good deal and allow people to try new restaurants. But for Burma Love, they're just using their restaurant week menu to make more money. That plus the bad service = 1 star.

I've been a fan of the Burma Club/Love/Superstar family of restaurants since before the pandemic. They're one of my top go-to's that I like to take friends to.Service is great, and staff are prepared to recommend what to order and accommodate dietary restrictions. The Laphet (green tea leaf) salad is a must on the menu. They mix it tableside, which provides a creative visual experience that precedes the delicious gustatory experience that follows. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It's rare that everything at one place tastes delicious, but this place is the exception.
