Very friendly, neighborhood place. Very good food and not too expensive. I enjoyed the feta cheese cigar appetizer and shrimp kabobs. My husband really liked the beef stroganoff although it comes with rice instead of noodles. No reservations so go early.

Great food and even better staff... Everything is expensive nowadays but some palces are worth going to when you crave it. The staff really makes it worth it, give them a raise.

I did not like the food here at all. It seems they went for quantity over quality. Out of the four of us, only one liked their dinner. I had the stuffed eggplant which came buried under tomato sauce with a bland salad on the side. My friends had the Beyti, which was sort of like a wrap cut into slices made of beef and lamb. San Francisco has so many stellar restaurants, this one just seemed lack luster. The service on the other hand could not have been kinder. Our waitress was stellar. I wanted to love it because of how sweet she was but it was not to be.

The place is small, but the food is excellent. Three of us got the beef stroganoff, and it was delicious!! I was skeptical considering it came with rice and not noodles, but this dish is a favorite of mine so....I ordered. OMG, it was amazing. Tender beef, divine sauce, and the rice was fantastic with it! I would order it again, and will order it again, the next time I am in town.

Met a friend for dinner here last night. They don't take reservations but there was seating available on Monday at 6:30pm. I didn't want to be that annoying friend, so there are no pictures of the food.... We had the yogurt/feta appetizer, she had the salmon entree and I had the chicken kabob. Food and presentation were great. Nice ambiance, not too noisy. It was perfect for our little dinner. Service was good as well.

Cute little Mediterranean restaurant in west portal. The food is delicious! We ordered the beef kebab plate and the Adana kebab wrap. I really enjoyed the Adana wrap it was very flavorful and I loved that they had pickles in it. It came with a side of fries which weren't that great, not crispy and soft. That being said everything else was great.

I really appreciate people who are efficient and work with a sense of urgency. For a later weekday lunch, Bursa was surprisingly poppin' like a trendy weekend brunch spot. And, I only had 30 minutes for lunch in-between medical appointments. FOH made it happen without telling them I had time limitations.... One of the servers legit sprinted to bring me hot sauce and to close out the bill. Granted, the food took some time so I only had 5 minutes to stuff my face while neighboring tables gave me side stares. Don't worry, when I retire, I'll be there with you...enjoying a leisurely meal! Bursa has been a West Portal staple for nearly 20 years (opened summer of 2004) serving Turkish cuisine. They're open for takeout, delivery, and indoor dining. Yelp says, they have outdoor seating but they don't. They've removed their parklet. M E N U Turkish cuisine with different lunch and dinner menus. Lunch is limited to apps, soup, salad, wraps, and kebab plates. Entrees like beyti, moussaka, rack of lamb, etc. are only available at dinner. Beer and wine available. F O O D * Spicy Adana Wrap: Spicy Ground Lamb + Beef, haydari, pickles, red onion, parsley, homemade tomato salsa, fries ($15) // 3.75 stars: A decent wrap, the housemade flatbread is like a thicker, chewier lavash filled with crumbled savory adana kebab, tangy pickles, and watery haydari (Turkish yogurt). The kebab was not spicy at all. I wish they kept the kebab whole instead of crumbling it, because it turned into a ground beef+lamb wrap. The accompanying fries were hot, crunchy, and lightly seasoned. The hot sauce was mildly spicy with briny, olive-y notes. S E R V I C E The wrap took 20 minutes but the FOH hustled to get me seated (5 minute wait), ordered, and outta there in 30 minutes - thank you. A M B I A N C E Lively, narrow dining room with retirees who lunch crowd. P A R K I N G Very difficult street parking even on a weekday. Overall, Bursa serves decent Turkish fare. With the parking situation and other options in the city, it's not something I would go out of my way for. But, it's a good option if you're in West Portal and within walking distance.
