Cute and cozy spot! I really love their iced Chai latte, had it once and will keep coming back for more. Also, their food selection and quality is really good. I had the CAT(cream cheese, avocado, and tomato) and it was really delicious. Staff is friendly as well!Highly recommend.

This was go-to coffee shop when I wasn't brewing at home and lived up the street. The owners are so friendly and make a great brew.

This charming little cafe is a new favorite. Chester is an absolute lovely person and I enjoyed chatting with him while he made my breakfast. I like to get the French Melt and the Mexican Latte. Coming here is a little treat on Laundry Day! Definitely recommend this spot for a quick bite and a nice chat with Chester. Support local business and don't forget to tip your service peeps!

Nothing great here, conveniently located, i dont need to walk far for coffee. Nice to have a local coffee shop around the corner. The inside has a lot of junk and old 80's nostalgic stuff.

Love this coffee shop! Small, charming, quirky, quiet, friendly owners, indoor and outdoor seats, and of course, reliable bevs (iced dirty chai, for me). All nearby parking is street parking (save for one parking garage) but I'm usually able to find parking 1 block up on Bush (not metered). This cafe has been in the community for nearly 20 years and feels very much like a "mom and pop" cafe (their owner will make actual conversation with you while making your drinks, and you may even spot their tiny elder pup doing his rounds). If you're looking for a sterile antisocial chain cafe, this is not the place for you, but if you're open to a friendly and eclectic "hole in the wall" cafe, conversation, and supporting a small business and staple in the Lower Nob Hill community, give Cafe Bean a visit!

Terrible all around. Was looking for a local cafe. This one was dark, dingy, cluttered with limited seating. The almond milk chai was watery and scalding hot to the point the almond milk tasted bad. The croissant with ham and cheese smelled awful and the ham was rubbery and overcooked like it had been stuck in the microwave. The croissant was greasy and tasted microwaved. Threw it all away even though I was starving and went someplace else. Worst of all, the manager (Chester?) used a question about my disability as a conversation starter. The last thing I want while visiting the city and before my first cup of daily caffeine is to have to explain to a stranger what happened to me. He then seemed off put when I didn't respond to his question. AVOID.

Beautiful garage-packed-chic place, but the restroom is currently out of service.

This is my absolute favorite cafe in San Francisco. The aesthetic and vibe is super cozy and cute, greenery mixed with European street style motifs. Most cafes in the city go for a modern aesthetic that ends up feeling cold and distant, so it's refreshing to have a cafe like this that feels warm and comforting. On top of that, the owner Chester and his dog Tyler will make you feel right at home. Chester is friends with all his customers and remembers everyone's name. It's nice to feel like you have a local friend whenever you come here. The drinks are also delicious, I'd recommend the matcha with vanilla. Chester is great at mixing and matching flavors to suit your taste pallet.

I usually don't care to write reviews but felt like this gem in SF was all worth it! Cafe Bean not only has the best Mexican Mocha but Chester (aka the owner) is so sweet and genuinely enjoys striking up a convo with anyone who stops by! If you are in SF check this place out, it's conveniently located near union square and has a bus stop right in front!
