Good place to eat with friends and family, reasonable prices and good atmosphere. The food is good. There is no parking so you must use the streets.

Best chilaquiles in San Francisco. All food is delicious actually. Plus lovely friendly staff in a cosy local atmosphere. Thanks Cafe La Taza !

Tasty food with prompt service. The presentation is very good but some dishes weren't the same as described on the menu.

Of course I am back at one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area Cafe La Taza. And I can't tell you how blown away by this south western salad that I added shrimp. OMG!!! Best salad ever. So big I could have it for lunch and dinner. It is always a pleasure being here with the staff and even cust. Just has that warm at home feeling. I always want to be around this vibe! Hasta la proxima mi familia!!!!

I wanted to try this place, as seen on the local TV program "Check Please". What really piqued my interest was the Latin cuisine with a modernized, western presentation. I hate to say it but I was surprised by the lack of taste in the food considering we are in the Mission District, and the hype offered from a featured spot on TV. Besides the shocking lack of flavor in the Latin dishes, the bizarre, hostile treatment we received from a particular waiter made for a disappointing and disheartening experience. We were tended to by multiple servers yet none of them had prompt timing with their attentiveness. I understand it was busy so it is what it is. However, there was a larger sized waiter who acted like we were eating in his house for free. Rude, aggressive, simply mean behavior that makes you question if discrimination is a factor here. The actual owner needs to question why someone with an attitude problem is representing this business as a server.

The tres leche pancake was delicious! So are the alcoholic drinks , we had the margarita and micheladas. The rest of the food was good, but not great. Worth a try if you are in the area. We had the huevos rancheros, breakfast burrito, desayuno tipico... all good, but the pancakes are the ones I am going back for.

I saw this place featured on Check Please Bay Area recently. 3 of us came on Sunday for brunch, we were seated in the bar area. It is pretty loud in there. We started with sweet potato fries (my hubby's fav) and they were delectable - a perfect fry on them and they were served with a slightly spicy aioli. YUM. He also got caramel macchiato which he said was really good. I ordered the desayuno breakfast plate with over easy eggs. IT WAS A TON of food. The eggs were cooked to order, the pork was extremely tender, the beans were average,... sadly the weak link was the plantains - they were cooked fine - they just were not quite ripe enough and so less sweet than I typically like. My friend had the chiliequiles which she liked, and my husband basically got a plate which turned out to be the lunch version of mine - that had the same pork, rice and beans, fried cheese and a little salad.

I want to give a special shout out to the team that takes care of me when I get there. Thought this is only my second time there, I feel that I have had some of the best flavorful food here. I feel extremely welcomed and warmth from this crew. Thank God for everyone forgive me if I misspell or forget anyone’s names. Misael, Xiomara and Carlos!! Delicious food, and great service. Try the Salvadorian quesadilla to start! Pancakes and chilaquiles all delicious. Kids had Mexican hot chocolate and loved it. Took a piece of tres leches cake to go and it was delicious. Will come again!
