They're horrible. The food is terrible, it came out cold, and the portions are tiny. They're the worst Chinese food in SF. THE WORST.

They force you to pay an extra tip claiming is "service fee" which was more than 20% of the plate prices, they don't specify in any place of the menu that, and when you ask for the receipt is all in chinese and with not explanation. The service was poor so not worth it.

WARNING! Check your bank after you pay your bill!!Prices different on menu than what is charged. Very shady billing practices. A sub 20$ bill (on menu) was charged as over $30. I left a couple dollars as a tip and they added much more on top.

This is the perfect place to go when you accidentally get to the Masonic too late to have a leisurely dinner before the show. The food is super fresh, the service gracious, and your dinner is served in 10 minutes. Then it’s a quick walk back (albeit uphill) to your show.

Visited the city for a few days. Wanted an early dinner and wanted take out. Chinatown was in walking distance but the place I wanted to go to wasn't open. Ended up here. The photos I saw online didn't look too appetizing. But thought "it's San Fran! The worst Chinese is still pretty decent." I was wrong. This is a 2 star spot. That should tell you pretty much everything. I ordered the beef chow mein and the Hunan General Tsuo 's Chicken. The chow mein in comparison to every other chow mein I've had was lacking in flavor. It just felt like the bare minimum was done to cook it. The chicken was simply okay. Felt like it could have been tossed a bit better so that the sauce could be coated all over and not just on one side. Came in on a Tuesday around 4pm. There were a couple eating inside and two people picking up. The host was also the cook. So taking my order was a little slow. The seating area was okay. The ambiance was not memorable. Wouldn't eat here. It's clean. But because it's very casual. I would say it's probably more of a quick lunch spot rather than a date night spot. There was barely an aroma in the air when I entered and should have left at that point but I talked myself into it because it wasn't really expensive. It's about 10-13 dollars per item.

Came to visit SF for a friends birthday celebration, took an Uber to this place to eat before we went and drank. Ordered the general tsous chicken, chowmein with beef, sweet and sour chicken and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I definitely would come here again if I'm by the area, the chicken was crunchy and delicious with the perfect amount of Sauce in it. The chowmein was chefs kiss! The service tho? Let me tell you! The service was amazing! They genuinely care for their customers and are super nice, they're definitely a small mom and pop and I support small restaurants and businesses. Their service and food was A1! I definitely would come again!

My wife and I stopped at City Chopsticks for dinner while visiting San Francisco. The food was very good and fresh. We ordered Spring rolls, Wanton soup, and Hot and Sour soup to start. The portions were generous and quite tasty. Then we ordered Chicken with Sesame seeds, rice, and Orange Chicken. They were also very tasty.Service was abysmal. No one came to cater to us. I had to get up and go to the counter for every order or drink. The person at the counter was not welcoming, and it felt like I was imposing. He never asked if we needed anything else or how the food was.For the check, I had to go to the counter again. He handed me a paper all written in Chinese and the total was almost twice what we ordered. When I questioned him about it, he said it was correct with no explanation. He also said that he added 20% gratuity to the bill, which I certainly wasn't going to give due to the terrible service. If you go there for the food, make sure you have extra money if you don't read Chinese.

Not bad for Asian food. Try the twice cooked pork and fried rice. Curry is also delicious.

I came in for take out. I feel bad giving only 3 stars because the guy was super nice and seems they genuinely care for their customers. Good value and overall decent food but everything I ordered was not quite what I wanted. I had wor won ton soup, the broth had tons of seasoning when I just wanted a light chicken broth like what you usually get everywhere else. Some people may like this more but I didn't care for it. The honey walnut shrimp was seriously lacking sauce. One of the shrimp had 0 sauce, the rest were only half covered. If they would've doubled the sauce it would have been perfect. I also got sui Mai and they seemed somewhat greasy, even though they are steamed. On a more positive note all the food did taste very fresh. I'm not sure if I will be back (I do like a good deal so maybe.) I also wish they gave a fortune cookie.
