This is my go-to India food spot to door dash their Tikka masala 1000000/10!! I can't speak for their dining experience or much of their other menu items... but the garlic nan + tikka masala is sooooo good it'll make you not want to order anything else! I get medium spice and my mouth instantly waters... it's so good I use all of the sauce even after I finish the chicken! This was also my go-to order when I got my wisdom teeth removed since I couldn't eat much. If you haven't tried this place I definitely recommend placing an order, it's what I compare all other tikka masala's too

A couple of Sundays ago my family and I were wandering West Portal looking for a place to eat. We ran across this gem and will most certainly be coming back. The food was amazing, the service excellent and the weight staff super friendly. If you're looking for delicious Indian cuisine for a decent price stop by Clay Oven!

Affordable and family-friendly spot on the edge of Western Portal. Small operation but quick service with delicious, buttery naan and an excellent chicken tikka kebab which arrived positively sizzling. Cheese pakoras were excellent and not overbattered.

I love going there, because the food is yummy and service has been consistently good. Their chai is great without being too creamy. Clay Oven is the place I go to for Indian food, they make it just the way I like it. I'm a big spinach fan and their spinach dishes (plus the spinach naan) never disappoint.

The chicken pakora was very dry. The vegetable pakora was burnt. The onion bahji, the baingin pakora and the chicken tiki masala were very good.

An absolute gem for authentic Indian flavors! From the moment you step in, the aroma of spices fills the air, setting the stage for a culinary journey. The curries here are a symphony of flavors, each dish bursting with its own unique blend of spices and fresh ingredients. Whether you prefer mild or spicy, there's a curry to suit every palate. But what truly steals the show are the naans - perfectly baked to golden perfection, with just the right amount of chewiness. They're the ideal companion to the rich and flavorful curries, providing the perfect vessel for savoring every last bit of sauce. The service is warm and welcoming, with staff who are passionate about sharing their love for Indian cuisine. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual dinner or a special celebration.Overall, if you're craving authentic Indian flavors, look no further. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates delicious curries and mouthwatering naans."

Sauces here are fire. Chicken and Calamari were both cooked perfectly. The coriander chutney has a serious kick to it.

Moderate portions, I had shrimp vindaloo (hot spicy) my wife had fish vindaloo ( medium spicy) . We both agreed they were very tasty. I have to say Clay Oven should have a disclaimer about how hot spicy the vindaloo is! Hot enough to make my finger nails sweaty. To be fair, I requested it that way. I'm sure I'll have an after glow for the rest of the day. If you enjoy Hot and spicy, as well as tasty, give Clay Oven a try. I have to come back for another try , the menu has all kinds of vegetables, seafood & meat dishes. We arrived for lunch , a good time. Service was good, our waiter answered all our questions, very soft spoken. The restaurant was extremely clean, lots of room & well lit. We got out of there for under $50 with tip. Completely satisfied. I'm looking forward to return , I love Indian cuisine,...

We ordered the clay oven thali for two. Delicious and great value! The spinach paneer was excellent-- you could taste the spinach! The sauce on the chicken Tikka Masala was nuanced-- very tasty! Will return next time we're in the city!

The food! The spinach paneer was delicious & the chicken Tikka Masada had a nuanced spicing that was scrumptious! The mint sauce had a nice bite and the tamarind sauce was yummy. The clayoven thali for two is an incredible value.

Dirty. Inept order taking. Inattentive. And we were the only 2 people there on a Saturday night from 7:30-9pm. Do not patronize.
