All around solid cocktail bar paired with a quaint and cozy ambience. Been a North Beach staple for a while now but I'm glad they've kept a lot of the historic interior from before. Staff are friendly and happy to provide recommendations. Great manhattans here but feel free to venture round the menu. Great date night spot or an intimate catch up with friends.

We walked in without a reservation and no expectations. What a delightful surprise. The service was superb, from the Host to the bar tender to our server. The food was delicious and came out quickly. To our surprise they had a gluten free empanada. Also the architecture and decor will delight. We highly recommend going on for a drink, a meal, live music and looking around.

Easily my favourite bar I visited when i was in SF & very sad I can't visit regularly. Great atmosphere and environment with live music and very personable and knowledgable bartenders. Cocktails are top notch yet feel reasonably priced given the crazy SF prices. I visited a few bars but this really stood out, just wish I'd found it sooner. A must visit for anyone!

My favorite bar in the city! Felix is one the wonderful servers here along with Mr. Happy and the entire bar staff. Live music nearly every night and the best cocktails I’ve ever had in SF. 10/10 would recommend, have recommended, and have thrown a few parties here.There free lunch is worth every cocktails SM the ambiance brings you back to the early 1900’s. Their food is delicious, the burger is one of my favorites along with the salmon puffs. You cannot go wrong here!Check it out if you have the time and coin to spare.

Excellent drinks served by knowledgeable bartenders with old school charm and great chat (when they’re not super busy!)Food is fantastic - the chicken liver mousse and stuffed dates are favourites but the BURGER. My goodness. Up there with the best burgers we’ve ever had.

Best. Burger. In. SF! I've been back to comstock many times and while it is still one of my favorite cocktail bars in the city, it is now my favorite place to get a burger! I was in the area to see the illusionist at the palace theatre and had planned to get a nightcap here afterwards. We were feeling a bit peckish so we ended up ordering the burger. Service was amazing as always and without even asking they split the burger for us to share. It was absolutely delicious! Fries were piping hot and perfectly salted. I haven't stopped thinking about it and can't wait to go back (I actually have plans to go back with some girlfriends to have them try the burger)! They had a lovely jazz band playing while we were there and it was the perfect end to our evening.

Came here for a date night and it did not disappoint. Comstock Saloon is right in the middle of Columbus Ave and offers a traditional style cocktail bar with a wide variety of crafted drinks to choose from. It has great bartenders who can make drinks right to your liking and service all around was very good. Drinks: I had a Manhattan and my girlfriend has an old fashion. Both drinks were super smooth and made from some good quality stuff. If you are unsure, tell one of the bartenders what type of tastes you like and they will make you a drink that you are sure to love. Food: Stay tuned for a follow up review once I come back and try some of their food items. I kept staring at other people's orders the whole time but knew I could not spoil the dinner I was heading to.

Been coming here since 2014 for my love of antique saloons in the city and I'm never coming back until they fire the bartender who drives morale down every second he's still working there. FIRE HIM NOW. I will say, the service from 90% of staff is comparable to the worst dive bar one could visit where the bartenders and servers hate their job because they think they don't have a choice. The music and ambiance is derailed by your effort of getting a bartender to acknowledge you let alone take your order. The food is nothing worth spending your memory and since the severs are slow, it comes out luke warm including your cocktails. The staff are arrogant, disgruntled, and should all be fired including who hired them.
