Great sandwiches, alterations done also! The Italiano has rich mortadella and a well-spiced hot coppa. I recommend one with everything, including pickled jalapenos! Ms. Kim welcomed me into the shop and we had a conversation while she prepared a small sandwich for me, on a fresh 8 or 9 inch french roll. All the classic vegetables were available and fresh. It was priced less than $9 and was excellent, hard to imagine a better value. There appeared to be some fresh kimchi in the refrigerator also. Ms. Kim told me that they haven't changed much in 35 years, and I hope they don't change a thing!

Ran across this place on Yelp article for Best Sandwiches in San Francisco. Huge disappointment! The bread was some fluff soft stuff and looked like some house brand you could pick up at some grocery store. Not very much meat on the sandwich either. I would not return. There are much better options.

This is a no-frills neighborhood sandwich place with an alteration shop in an adjacent side room. The sandwich shop is run by a really nice Korean couple and the husband handles the alterations. Bags of chips and canned or bottled sodas are available. I think they only use one type of bread and your choices are small, medium or large and you can get it toasted or not. Their meat seem to be standard store-bought deli meats and nothing special on their cheeses and other toppings either. They'll add some vinaigrette on their sandwiches as standard fare as well, but you can skip that depending on your tastes. Overall, they have decent sandwiches and it is rather inexpensive, so that's always a plus in my book. Cash only.

I've been coming here since I was in middle school (almost 15+ years) Sandwiches are simple, but DELICIOUS! Sometimes simplicity is better then all the extra stuff. The bread is really good, super fresh an tastes great toasted. Simple french bread. And I'm a huge fan of the Italian dressing she adds to it! Prices are super cheap and affordable, especially considering the simplicity of the place. Can't beat a medium size sandwich chips and a drink for 10 bucks! It's the super simple places and prices you've grown up with that make this place specially, I know it ain't much to the new implants here in the city or the neighborhood, who expect gourmet and fusion everything nowadays. But the place is great!
