I've been patronizing Dianda's for 40 years and have absolutely loved all of their cakes and cookies. I don't know what's been going on these last two years but the quality has gone downhill - you can taste that they're not using the same ingredients and/or less of them. The cookies are less buttery/more baking soda flavor and the textures aren't as good, including overbaked/stale cookies mixed in. Everything is lacking the quality vanilla taste and they're skimping on the rum sauce/vanilla in the cakes. The customer service isn't friendly anymore, and the high prices don't reflect what we're used to. It's very disappointing and, unfortunately, I may never go back...

What a gorgeously decorated and delicious Easter San Honoree Cake you made! You sure have some artists on board there in the Mission!

Delicious Cakes, everything from the icing, down to the cake breading. Fruit and all. Super nice and lively service. Happy for my birthday returns every year!

The best Hot Cross Buns in the Bay Area. I look forward to Lent just to have the opportunity to buy HCB's. The perfect amount of dried fruit and big on flavor! Their St Honore Cake is a special treat and delicious! I love the rum flavor in the custard.

My family patronized many bakeries in the Mission, but Dianda's was never on that list. Still, we were familiar with the popular Italian-American bakery by way of the birthday parties we attended in the 80's and 90's. These days, I'm often responsible for providing the cakes for get-togethers. I bought a few small items from Dianda's recently to see if I could add them to my rotation, & the quick answer was no. I purchased four cake slices: Black Forest (which failed to get the stamp of approval from the Black Forest cake lover in my life), Chocolate Delight, Italian Rum, & Tiramisu. The cakes weren't as fresh as they could've been, & the flavors were weak. There are far better versions of each of those cakes at other bakeries in SF & the Peninsula, so I have no reason to settle for Dianda's mediocrity. My family knew what they were doing all those years by steering clear of Dianda's, & I will gladly continue that tradition. I ended up getting the birthday cake I needed from Shubert's. They had the taste & texture I was looking for.

Armando did such a beautiful job with everything at Dianda’s. My family has been coming here for 40 years. We just bought clamshells, cannoli, fruit pies, and almond tortes. They were all amazing. But the tortes were not like the old days- fewer almonds, a ton of powdered sugar, and the bottom was not as good as times past. We will of course be back. I hope this difference was a one off.Parking: Generally the best move is to call ahead, then have someone drop you off and circle the block a few times.

We ordered a Tres Leches cake with peach and mangos. We usually do strawberries, but my son's birthday is in January, and strawberries are not in season. Additional fruit did cost more, but it was worth it. Everyone enjoyed it!! And now I'm craving for more! You can't go wrong with anything you order from this bakery! Born and raised in the City, I grew up having cake from Dianda's...I'll just say, I didn't know for a very long time that one of my fav cakes was rum cake...if you know, you know.

Favorite cake spot but customer services is bad as some of the workers there are arrogant for the last past 3 years they always have an attitude towards customers.

The bakery is super clean everything's fresh everyday they get there like a 3:00 in the morning and they open up I think at 5:00 in the morning and they close at 6:00 but their pastries are delicious they're pretty good they're Monday through their 7 days a week so they're pretty good I give you $5
