Please do not give these scumbags any of your business. We came here today after the parade and decided to come here because there was a sizeable crowd, it was one of the few options open at the time, and they had decent reviews on google. Big mistake. They first tried adding an invisible surcharge to our order but lucky one of us was able to catch that. We then waited over an hour for a standard 6 item order do to their policy of "no refunds". They definitely added that to wait out customers who ordered already by taking forever to make their food and drive them away by abusing long wait times. Furthermore once we got the order, we had several items missing. I was surprised how such a terrible restaurant was still open and had decent reviews, but please check out their Yelp page before ordering. A lot of reviews there will corroborate my experience with them today, and some even have some more unhinged details about these owners. The fact they're not in jail is astounding.

Terrible service. They kept serving orders out of order and kept saying to leave and come back. Wait time was so long for below average food. Do not recommend this place. There is better options for less and way tastier.

What I thought would be a great meal turned out to be foul asf never eat at this shitter.

This place changed my life. Earlier in the day we walked by this restaurant (we had already eaten a full dinner), but the nicest man said he would stay open for us if we wanted to do some shopping before coming back. He was so enthusiastic that we picked up 3 other members from our group and came back just for the owner to convince us to get the “all you can eat” food service for a flat rate charge. Throughout the meal he kept bringing us dishes at a speedy rate. Some of the dishes we didn’t even order just so we could try them (at no additional cost). I don’t know if I have ever had such a great experience at a restaurant in San Francisco. Everyone should come here, even if it’s just for the experience

AVOID this place if you love your life. The all you can eat takes so long it's time to do your next adventure and the food is 2 if that. The noodles were frozen then microwaved. I love Chinese food and the dim sum, noodles, rice that came to us were a huge disappointment for SF Chinatown. The plates were dirty and the cleanliness of the testa were questionable. I don't mind hole in the wall places as they can have the best food. This sadly is not one of them.

DO NOT EAT HERE, we used to love coming here, this last time was horrible food had no flavor it was over priced and we waited 2 hrs to get 2 orders with buffet style service.

While exploring Chinatown we found nice little hole-in-the-wall pastry shop. Got a quick service dessert - egg bites.

I'm glad this place closed. We asked for a cup of water but instead he gave us bottles of water, which he charged us $2 EACH for. The food was nasty. Dick Lee really is his first name. The place was like a shack. He apparently re-uses containers and utensils? I wouldn't put it past him, honestly.

Best sesame ball in town - vs using premixed sticky rice powder, they did the steps all by themselves. Wondering!!!

Had the best time here! Came a couple months ago with my mom and ordered the taro bun and I could tell it was freshly made. We originally came just for take out but ended up sitting down. Cute and quaint. Owners were so kind and the food was great ☺️.

Dick Lee Pastry is a hole-in-the-wall, no frills, dim sum place that boasts a huge menu with an overall feel reminiscent of Asia with its plastic ware, tiny tables, and street-side appeal. The food is 2-3* whilst the service, cost, decor, and late hours earn it a solid 3-4* (plus, you have to give major props to the older man and woman working the store at midnight).Signs everywhere state "all you can eat" for $5.99 but per reviews that's for breakfast and the price increases depending on the meal time. This was the only eatery open at midnight (reportedly the owner states no closing time) in Chinatown. Twas semi-bustling. The older gentleman speaks English whilst the older woman wanders over with food and answers to everything in Cantonese no matter what language you use. Her emphasis and desire for us to understand despite us not, was quite endearing. Food options (point at the photos if you don't know):- we went a la carte as it was late $30 for 4 dishes + 1 boba; with XiaoLongBao being the highest priced whilst the others ~$4. Note that dim sum always comes in threes except for XiaoLongBao. 1. XiaoLongBao. Aka steamed soup dumplings. Taste isn't the typical one you imagine but pleasant and the sauce just a tad sweet. Nonetheless hot, juicy, meat-filled. Would recommend more.2. Taro buns. The outside while fluffy, the inside taro filling tasted a bit off? 3. Har Gow aka shrimp dumplings. OK skin but shrimp taste was truly there 4. Shu Mai aka pork dumplings. Taste again was non-traditional but boy was it stuffed with juicy meat.5. Boba $3.99. The color was a bit coffee-like but taste aiight with just enough sweetness for me. The boba pearls on the other hand wasn't cooked through. Overall, worth a late night stop for some Asia throwback feels. Should I find myself hungering in Chinatown past 11p, go for the ShuMai and XiaoLongBao. Lots more to choose from.

Avoid at all costs! Total rip off and terrible people to boot! We bought some egg tarts and they were the worst I have ever eaten. They give a bad name to dim sum.

A rip off and embarrassment - hope people don't equate this place as a Chinese establishment that serves authentic Chinese food. Ordered baked egg tarts and steamed sponge cakes. After paying, the clerk said it would take ten minutes. Couldn't wait and wanted to cancel for a refund. But he said "No" because each order was "freshly made and cooked to order" and it's already started. That was a lie since he hadn't even gone to the kitchen yet, but he wouldn't return my money, and it was late and I was too tired to argue any further. The items came warm all right - microwave warm, not freshly baked or steamed. The egg tarts were rubbery and the sponge cakes tough like cardboard. The taste? Awful! On top of that, rude service!
