Very questionable reviews. InfatuationSF is also tripping ranking this #5 above dumpling zone. I got everything all the other reviewers hyped up. Nothing was good. They also charged us for something they never brought out and didn’t even trust us when we told them we never got it. I hate trashing new businesses but well, at least they’ll have time to learn.

I genuinely want restaurants in the neighborhood to do well and I’m glad that new ones are opening! The service at this restaurant is top notch, and the space is large for the area, and very clean. It is also family friendly. When we were there, people kept streaming in.However this place has the exact same menu as majority of the of the other Chinese restaurants in the area (mix of different Chinese cuisines with a huge emphasis on Shanghai dumpling and fried buns, “sichuan” dishes and cold appetizers that miss the mark in terms of flavor and texture). There are certain dishes that are more unique, such as Taiwanese style glutinous rice rolls, soy milk.Given that there are restaurants in the area that do a better job at their main dishes, and there isn’t a clear specialty here, I’m not sure we will be back soon. This restaurant seems to be doing great though, so it’s worth a try if you’re in the area.

Back for my second visit! Good food and great service. Love this new addition to the outer sunset.

The XLB was amazing! ? There was so much soup in the dumplings than most XLB I've had. The pricing is decent & the service was superb despite it being so busy. Definitely one of my favorite spots to go to.

Came here for a casual Saturday lunch. Place was full of patrons but we got seated rather quickly. Place looks newly remodeled, clean and comfortable. Servers were attentive, helpful and polite. Prices are reasonable. Quantity and quality of food is quite good. Every dish was flavorful, hot and pleasing to both the eyes and the palette. Bathrooms were clean, dry, and supplies were plentiful. Do recommend and I will be back.

A recently opened restaurant serving xiaolung bao and other Chinese dishes, the xiaolung bao has soft but strong skin and the juice inside is plentiful and very tasty. The great thing is that the skin doesn't break. This is on of the best place in Bay Area for xiaolung bao !

My sister and mom tried Dumpling Bites two weeks ago and recommended their xiao loong bao (Shanghai soup dumpling). I was told the xiao loong bao was as fresh and tasty as Din Tai Fung. I came this week with my husband and toddler to try their xiao loong bao, boiled dumplings, Shanghai-style chow mein, and their Shanghai-style pan fried buns. The best thing here was really their xiao loong bao. It was very fresh and juicy like Din Tai Fung! It took about 10-15mins to make so it was definitely steaming hot when it came out! Highly recommend that since they were also larger compared to other restaurants that made the soup dumplings. My toddler and I both love dumplings, so we definitely had a bigger expectation for restaurants that served dumplings. Surprisingly, the pork and chives boiled dumplings were only ok. We tried the Dumpling Specialist on Taraval a week prior and I actually liked their dumplings more since it was flavorful. This one was a bit bland for my taste. Even my toddler did not really eat his but he ate a lot of dumplings at the other location. The Shanghai pan fried buns were juicy but needed a bit more flavor. I personally liked Dumpling Kitchen's Shanghai pan fried bun on Taraval St, but of course, none of these places could compare to Shanghai or Taiwan. However, Dumpling Kitchen was the best ones we had in the city. The Shanghai chow mein was standard. Prices were slightly cheaper than other dumpling spots in the sunset district. The restaurant was emptied the night we came but I overheard the worker talking to another customer in Cantonese that they were so busy during the day time. That same customer already came here three times and the restaurant only opened for four months. The restaurant was modern looking and clean. The lady staff was very attentive and nice. She even packed up the food for us. Very good customer services for a dumpling place that usually would not pack food for customers. She even asked if we wanted to order xiao loong bao and the Shanghai pan fried buns so she could place the order for us first since those two items took 10-15mins to make. In addition, the lady got us plastic utensils and even a plastic bowl so our son could use it as his serving plate. Would definitely come back for their xiao loong bao and great customer services!

Opened a little over six months ago in September 2023, Dumpling Bites offers a very decent in-house hand-made "Shanghai-Style Pork Xiao Long Bao 上海小籠包," steamed pork mini-bun, in addition to other popular Chinese dishes. A dear foodie friend and I agreed that the XLB delivered the quintessential minced pork flavors and a generous amount of savory broth, that exploded inside the mouth. The silky smooth skin, a tad thicker than the top competitors, held the morsel beautifully. Perfectly cooked. We rated it 8 out of 10. Super pleased with this great addition to the Noriega "food strip" in San Francisco's Outer Sunset District. Dumpling Bites 品味小籠包, located on 1556 Noriega Street in San Francisco CA. We also tasted several other dishes. All quite tasty. Boiled Pork and Chive Dumplings It was also a great pleasure to meet and chat with the owner Jason Wu 伍, who hails from Guangzhou 廣州. Quite impressed with the other frienfly efficient waitstaff. A welcoming place. Well worth it.

This is my second time leaving a review for DB, I had dinner with my husband tonight here and saw that they are doing a SPRING PROMO! The food was good like before, I ordered multiple dishes and couldn't finish due to a big portion of Shanghai-style noodles and XLB. The service was better than before, the waitress was so talkative and friendly. The environment was as clean as before, a very pleasant place for dinner!

Solid new addition of a Shanghai cuisine restaurant to the SF food scene. Favorite items are the steamed pork soup dumplings, Shanghai-style chow mien, salt and pepper chicken wings and Shanghai-style pan fried pork buns. The highlight and reason to come are the soup dumplings, which are equally delicate and full of flavor. Good ones are hard to find in SF. I'd say these fall short of Din Tai Fung but are plenty good and slightly better than the ones at Hon's Wun-Tun House. Will also note I tried the Dan dan mian/noodles, which were quite underwhelming, largely due to the bland sauce (noodles themselves are fresh and well-textured). Soy milk ("dao zheng") was also very average. With very limited quality Shanghai restaurant options in SF, I highly recommend this for anyone craving soup dumplings. Only other complaint is the dining room is consistently cold (bring a jacket). But something I can overlook due to the delectable food offerings.

Beef brisket noodle soup -15.50. No beef. LOTS OF NOODLES AND GINGER , but almost NO BEEF. Really! I guess we should have had the wonton soup for $2.5 less. This rip off spoiled the meal. The soup was worth about $5.99 since almost no beef. Do not order this dish!

My kids and I arrived starving, and for under $45, we left full to the brim with leftovers to spare. As the name suggests, the dumplings are where it's at though I did see many orders of food that had my twisting my head to politely inspect the order.

This is a late post, but we tried Dumpling Bites about a month ago, and we were really impressed with their food. Cucumber Salad - it was surprising very flavorful, and crunchy. You should be prepared to have garlic breath after! Sticky Rice Roll - this is the main reason why we came here. This is something I ate growing up and it is extremely hard to find a place that sells this. This is exactly how I remembered it to be. Filled with meat floss and Chinese donuts. I usually like to eat this with chili oil, it brings it to the next level. Shanghai Style Pan-Fried Pork Bun - this pan fried pork bun was outstanding. Perfectly crisp on the bottom, and juicy and flavorful on the inside. Be careful, that juice is hot! Also, this is how pan-fried pork bun should be; not a fan of the new style of "pan fried" pork bun. Abalone and pork steamed XLB - this is a first I've seen any place serve this, and we had to try it. The wrap is at a perfect thickness, thin enough where it doesn't feel like eating a bao, but thick enough to hold the hefty content inside without breaking. There are small pieces of abalone inside for the flavor and to add some good texture to it; in combination with the pork, it was a delight to eat. Steamed Pork and Napa Cabbage Dumplings - great flavorful and again, the wrap was amazing. You can't go to a dumpling place without ordering their dumpling! Overall, this place was amazing, might be my new favorite dumpling place in the Sunset. I will say, the service can improve, because the servers looked annoyed at everyone; but this is a Chinese dumpling place, I am used to that by now.
