I went to visit yesterday Thursday morning and I loved the tacos. The girl who took care of me from the moment I entered listened to me the entire time. She was very kind. and all the time smiling she made me feel very comfortable. She was always grateful. I loved her attention. I wish everyone was like that, I would honestly come back. I recommend tacos al pastor very delicious

This place is probably one of the best places to eat for cheap, mexican food. Only $36 for my wife and I to eat here. Come before or after we thrift on Haight. Great tacos, BIG quesadillas. It can’t be

My favorite neighborhood spot for late night quesadillas and tacos. Quick, easy, delicious, and perfect to help prevent a hangover in the morning.

Why would you run a restaurant and not be invested in the flavor of the food? I ordered a shrimp California burrito, shrimp wasn’t flavored at all-no salt no garlic just plain old shrimp. Tortilla itself, beans and rice were cold, only the fries were hot. Cashier was very friendly but some questionable Haight Ashbury characters came into the restaurant and loitered suspiciously.Hate to say it but this was the worst burrito I’ve ever had it was $15 and half of it is sitting in my fridge the next day…not sure if I’ll even finish it.

The cashier girl charged me for 2 burritos instead of 1, and she told me that it was my fault that I didn't double check when she rang me up. I asked for her to cancel the charge and charge me again correctly and she said that's not possible. I asked for cash back, and she said she can't do that, and that she would need to give me her own money (which makes absolutely no sense??? when I just want 1 burrito). She then told me that I would need to come back the next day to talk with the manager, to which I declined because I don't have time to come back. She really didn't want to own up to her mistake and kept trying to make it seem like it's my fault she rang me up wrong. She talked with the people in the back and reluctantly gave me back $15 in cash (which was less money than what I was owed back of $16.23 but I didn't feel like arguing more with her for $1.23) , while guilt tripping me saying that it was her and the chef's money even though it was her own mistake ringing me up for two instead of 1 (I clearly said I wanted 1 burrito). She took the money out of the cash register as well, so clearly that's not her money or the chefs'. I have no idea why she was trying to guilt trip me like that for her mistake. Horrible service, and it seems like she's clearly incompetent and doesn't even know how to use the POS machines. I don't want to come back here ever again. The food was decent, but the whole restaurant smells like a bathroom.

El Rancho Grande provides a dining experience with both highlights and drawbacks. The ambience initially sets a welcoming tone, creating a pleasant atmosphere for patrons. However, it's important to mention that some might find the aroma of disinfectant a bit distracting, affecting the overall ambiance. On the culinary front, the burritos stand out with rich and satisfying flavors. The menu delivers a delightful selection that caters to diverse tastes. Despite the slight letdown in ambience, the delicious burritos certainly make El Rancho Grande a worthy choice for those primarily focused on a generous flavorful dining experience.

I’m from Oregon and I’ve been CRAVING Birria. Needless to say, I was extremely satisfied. The meat was so tender and it was juicy and the cheese was delicious. Highly recommend.
