3.5 stars. We ate here twice this week for lunch because we were in the area. Families used to come here for dinner all the time with lines out the door. I've not been back in about a decade and was glad it is still in business. Truly a hole in the wall now in great need of remodeling. The first day, there was 6 of us and we ordered beef chow fun, chow mein which were good. Everyone liked the complimentary bowl of winter melon soup but you could tell it likely had MSG. The beef brisket clay pot was good. The second time, hubby and I tried beef bok choy, the rice came in a separate container, and salt pepper chicken wings, $13. Both were ok but I thought there was too much of that cornstarchy gravy over the beef and veggies and I have had better salt baked wings elsewhere. The service is good, only one wait staff both days and he was efficient and pleasant. it's a place contractor workers come for lunch and locals dine but not a fancy place. We came a 3rd time in a group of 7 and had a nice lunch with Singapore curry fried rice noodles, salt pepper filet fish, Mongolian beef, tomato beef chow mein, thin chicken chow mein and liked each dish.

Delicious authentic Cantonese food! Came on a weekend with my family and everything was hot and fresh. Also, super reasonably priced. It's hard to find authentic family owned restaurants these days, so this was a real treat! We ordered salt and pepper spareribs, eggplant with minced pork and preserved vegetable, stir fried beef cubes, stir fried cauliflower and pork, and my favorite fried stuffed tofu. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner including takeout and catering, will definitely come back again!

This place is so disgusting. The water has stuff floating around in it, the soup has flies and the noodles taste like dirt. Plus there's just a certain oder to the place which makes it even worse.

i grew up eating here and covid hit them hard even now :/i ordered to-go via phone call, so the order to food wait time is really fast and the quality is still there. i think what would really help their business grow for people to start dining in, is possibly remodeling the inside, since it’s very grimey and old feeling interior wise. and that really turns people off from wanting to dine it i feel!one of my absolute faves is their rock cod fish filet with braised tofu in a clay pot!!! SUCH SMOOTH FISH AND JUICY TOFU?? no place does it better than here. PERIOD.their surf clams with vermicelli noodles is another favorites of mine and it was/is always very good. get this. so garlicky and perfect as an lux appetizer.i will definitely come back time and time again for their貴妃蚌 and fish and tofu and just cus i wanna support a childhood restaurant of mine.

Recommended dishes: Dry Beef Chow Fun, Beef with Mushrooms and Green Beans, Sauteed Seafood with XO Sauce

The guy at the front that answers the phone has a terrible attitude and acts like I'm insulting his mother when I call in to place an order. Twice he hung up on my when I'm asking him questions and trying to place an order. Also took a while to answer the phone. Parking is very limited and food is not worth the attitude, price, or the time. Try a place that actually appreciates your business and serves food that tastes good.

First time eating here and glad to find a Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood! Relatively quiet place away from the busyness of Geary Blvd. Very friendly and pretty good food. Would definitely order here again and see how it continues to fare.

Reasonable price and good portion. But the quality is really bad. Also you can see lots of flies around the restaurant. Not recommend this place. They should improve the quality to get customers back. It was a good place before pandemic time.
