Not a favorite. First time there and we had lunch. Nothing spectacular. Just so so. Probably won't return. 3/31/24. Went back for lunch. This time it was good. Might return, however many other places to experience yet.

The food was fast, delicious, and fresh. The atmosphere was warm and mellow, just perfect after a chilly ride to Alcatraz. Our server was top notch would highly recommend 5/5!

Great food, good service, nice atmosphere. Waiters were a little in a hurry though, which led to some insensitive situations. But we were all served well.Parking: There is no parking option nearby.

This restaurant feels like it exists somewhere in between what could be a local haunt and a tourist trap. It has a versatile yet contained menu that has a little bit of something for everyone. The burrata appetizer was perfectly executed for a place that isn't designated Italian, and the salad offerings really stood out. I had the ahi tuna and for $20 wish I had a couple more pieces of Ahi but the flavors and seasoning were fantastic. I especially loved the little pieces of sushi style ginger mixed within - delicious. It should also be noted that the service was exceptional, toeing the line between attentive and breathable to a T. They even had an extra kale salad made by accident and brought it over complimentary as we waited for the last of our party to arrive. A+

The restaurant was very beautiful and clean, and our waiter was very nice. Our meals came out very quickly, and everything was delicious. The deviled eggs appetizer especially was phenomenal! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a great bite to eat in San Francisco!Kid-friendliness: There were many kids options to choose from, and the pizza was amazing!

Food came out kind of cold and took forever to get. Burgers were also not cooked well. Would not come again.

I've been dining here for 18 years. This experience was one of the lows. For being super quiet and slow the server didn't want to come to the table. We waited 20 minutes for water. The service was just not good. We waited a long time just to get started. For having zero other tables it should not have been so slow. The food was okay. Basic. Nothing to win awards or get media coverage. A few items were very heavy on the salt.I miss the diner aspect. They used to have a unique space and killed it for no reason. Now it's Fog City. But they printed Diner on the menus. So it's Fog City sometimes. Fog City diner sometimes. Feels like it lost all its unique charm and now is just another restaurant in SF. I feel sad saying it. It's been one of our date spots for 18 years. But now it's just a shell of it's former glory.

Great food, service and environment. We went there after visiting Alcatraz we did not make a reservation but that would extremely help in getting a seat. We finished our Alcatraz tour, walked off the boat at 7PM and went straight to the restaurant. We were able to get seated at the high table next to the bar. We ordered the ribs and a margarita pizza.Parking: Parking is awful here. Look for a parking garage or two before you come. You don't want to lose time searching for a spot.Kid-friendliness: Not the best place for kids, tight quarters.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible for all abilities.

Our family (all 9 of us) went to Alcatraz yesterday in the pouring rain. We finished our tour at 2:00 p.m. very wet and hungry. We called Fog City to see if they could take us for lunch. Brittany, our server, couldn't have been more welcoming and said she would have our table ready for us when we arrived. Not only did she have our table ready, she took all of our very wet coats and hung them up to dry while we had lunch. The food was delicious and the service was superb. Kudos also to Andrea, the bartender who made the BEST Irish Coffee drink! Great experience for all of us!

If I could leave six stars for a five star review, I would. First and foremost our server, Brittany was phenomenal. We were a party of nine that came in fresh off of a ferry boat ride from Alcatraz. We were cold, hungry and soaking wet. She immediately took all of our wet jackets and hung them up for us. Instantly started serving beverages and made sure we were comfortable. Several of us ordered Irish coffees, which were not on the menu, but the amazing bartender, Andrea made us world class drinks. If you have ever been to the Buena Vista at the other end of the Embarcadero, they are known for their Irish Coffees. Not to start a fight here, but Andrea's mixology skills left us all feeling like we just had the best Irish Coffee of our lives! The food was delicious. Their wood fired pizzas were very tasty. The crust was just the right consistency and the crunch was perfect. Several of us had burgers and a couple other sandwiches. Everyone left satisfied and happy. A perfect ending to a perfect day. Brittany, if you are reading this, don't ever change. You are a breath of fresh air.

Our reservation at another restaurant was cancelled due to a kitchen issue. It was late, we were starving, and ended up hereThe food isn't bad exactly. It's just nothing special. You can definitely tell this restaurant caters to mostly tourist and it shows.I will say though, the staff is great at their job. Great bunch of people. Food was just incredibly lackluster.
