Got there at 2:20 after taking an uber and they told me they were closed. The website clearly says they close at 3. Had to wait in the rain for another uber.

This place is unassuming, but I decided to poke my head in the door anyway. I spoke with the owner, and even though they're temporarily closed, they offered to make a baker's dozen cookies for pickup just an hour later, for $36. Great service, great cookies! Looking forward to the official reopening.

This is the best place! I love everything they make. And everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful. Rave reviews for Goody Goodie.

These are hands-down the BEST cookies in the City! (And I should know, having owned my own cookie catering company!) I make great cookies, but when I cannot make them this is my Go-To place for cookies! The Peanut Butter Cookies are like no other I've ever tasted or made myself! Crave-able! The Goody Goodie Cookie has an amazing flavor combination with different chocolates and cocoa nibs! There's even a cookie with popcorn baked right in! They are a really good size too, (for cookie lovers!) I often make excuses to go in to the City and plan around swinging by their cafe to get a dozen to take home to the East Bay! Trust me, I highly recommend these cookies!

Amazing bakery with amazing people. Johnny kicks butt in the kitchen, Remi and Mark are incredible humans!

The best cookies around town! Remi is awesome! I always get a bag of her cookies to take home with me to DC!

I will try this place again, and perhaps it will earn itself more stars, but I just tried to grab a mid-morning pastry and coffee at 11:30 am, only to find a post-it informing me they are closed for lunch until noon. What kind of café closes from 11:30 to noon? I'm not impressed.

I remember watching some sort of food program on the Cooking Channel that featured this place and I made are I bookmarked it! After dropping my sis off at work Monday morning, I saw that this place was close by! I found free parking on Alabama Street, which is just a block away. Cookies were $2.90 each and I had the following kind: THE CIRCUS Candied popcorn and a blend of Guittard and E. Guittard chocolates. So my first bite into this cookie had a whole kernel, which felt like I almost broke a tooth because it was unexpected. I feel like this cookie has all the bad side to popcorn; the part where you hit the un-popped popcorn (kernel), and the pieces that taste a bit plasticky and sticks to your teeth. My first bite into this cookie was a whole kernel corn! I love popcorn and I love chocolate chip cookies, but I feel this one wasn't a great one. :(. At least the chocolate chip side to it was decent. THE GOODY GOODIE With a chocolate ratio of 4:1. This cookie also has cacao nibs and looks darker/over baked than the photos/images ice seen. It was fine--because it's full of chocolate you can't expect this cookie to have that nice chewy batter taste. This cookie was good but I prefer the regular/normal chocolate chip cookie. THE OLD SCHOOL COOKIE This is their version of the old fashioned chocolate chip cookie. This cookie is a delicious blend of Guittard and their artisinal line of E. Guittard chocolates. No nuts. No fillers. No B.S. Haha I love how it is described! I enjoyed this one...good amount of chocolate chips with chewy dough...I quite enjoyed this! It's not the best I ever had but it's still pretty good!

I'm not sure what to think. The first time I came here, a friend had recommended it to me and 2 of us trekked over here during lunch from fidi. The cookies we got, while pricey, were SO GOOD. I think because they use legit chocolate, or so I hear. Neither of us could stop thinking about it, and last week I made my way back to pick up some cookies for thanksgiving. I kept raving about them to the bf so I ordered at least 1 of each flavor that was available. When we got home, I tore into them with such excitement, only to be met with really dry, overbaked cookies. It was such a disappointment. The bf was very puzzled as to why I kept raving about this place so much, especially because their cookies are pretty pricey. I kept saying how the goody goodie cookie was my favorite, and the old school was good, how the circus was was interesting. I can see why reviews on this place are so mixed if they are as inconsistent as I've experienced. If I'm nearby, maybe I'll drop back in but I'll no longer be a raving lunatic about these cookies anymore :(. In fact, they are still sitting on my dining table now, where cookies typically do not last more than a few days... Giving them 3 stars as credit for the faint memories of times long gone from before...

Check their Facebook page for scheduled closings. Two out of the last three times I've gone, they've been closed for various reasons. It's frustrating to find out upon arriving, but they at least try to put notices online about it. With that said, I love their chocolate chip cookie, the "Old School". It's my favorite in San Francisco. I've compared theirs to ones from Craftsman & Wolves, b. Patisserie, Mr & Mrs Miscellaneous, Anthony's, Spruce, Knead, Fillmore Bakeshop, Batter, Miette, and others. The cookie is definitely rich and indulgent. You won't get a bite without heaps of chocolate gooeyness. They're moderate in size; not as huge as the Spruce one, and bigger than ones from Anthony's. I'm pretty sure they're made daily, and they're often available fresh from the oven. They've become a real treat for me to have. My guess is that they use high quality chocolate and lots of it for each cookie. It may be too much for some people as evidenced by the negative reviews, but why would you want the baker to skimp out on the main part of a chocolate chip cookie? It's hard to get them with the cafe's early weekday hours. I wish they were open on the weekends, too. I'd give a fifth star if their hours were a little better and their schedule was more consistent. In comparison to other SF chocolate chip cookies, I'd say they're similar in style and quality to ones from b. Patisserie and Mr & Mr Miscellaneous. Goody Goodie is still at the top though! The service is usually friendly and polite, as well, so that's nice.

Their pour over coffee tastes like cookies! And the smells of cookies & waffles will be sure to brighten your day. Do yourself a favor and get the Liege Waffle on your cheat day. Comes out hot and tastes like heaven, Also super friendly service!

Featured in Unique Sweets. Most of the pastries here are not vegan but one that seems to be is the Olive Chocolate Wafer with Moroccan olives that has a chocolatey flavour.

I'm always on the hunt for more quality bakeries, especially in the SoMa area. After doing some shopping at costco, I walked over to Goody Goodie to pick up some cookies to share. Old School - 2/5 - Average chocolate chip cookie. Probably the weakest of the bunch. Goody Goodie - 4/5 - Same cookie as Old School but with added chocolate nibs in it. This added element definitely makes this cookie much better. Coconut Five-Oh - 3/5 - Chocolate and coconut. Not the most exciting cookie but it was decent enough and seemed to be thicker than the rest which made it nicely chewy. Peanut butter - 2/5 - There are better peanut butter cookies out there. Pass on this. The Circus - 4/5 - Chocolate and candied popcorn makes this the most exciting cookie of the bunch. While I do wish it was as thick as some of the other cookies, the candied popcorn made this a really unique option which I enjoyed. Overall, this is a decent bakeshop worth a try. Definitely order the Goody Goodie and the Circus. Probably pass on the rest. This is "A-OK."
