The people working here are really nice, and seem to be friends with each other besides just for work which is cute (not to imply that they socialize instead of doing their work, just that they gave off a vibe of getting along, and as employees were getting off work their conversations made it sound like they knew each other well). They also seem to actually like the product instead of just working there. I shared my souffle pancake plushie collection photos (and where to buy them) with one souffle pancake plushie obsessed employee who seemed genuinely interested.The souffle pancakes themselves are pretty good. Somewhere under Uni Souffle and above Hanabusa (though nowhere in the bay area can hold a candle to Motto in Alhambra near Los Angeles, now that Sweethoney seems to have stopped serving them everywhere except in their Las Vegas outpost, which is inconvenient enough already without being located on the hard-to-access second floor of a crazy busy strip mall without enough parking).The thing I love best about the menu here is that it isn't all sweets. There's also regular food, so you don't have to go to 2 different places for dinner and dessert. I have had and liked their curry, pancake burger, and savory French toast (though the prosciutto was hard to cut/bite through and you ended up dragging the whole piece out) so far. They also have yummy drinks like dalgona and honeycomb coffee.Some cons: The mall parking here is not the easiest, and I wish they were open later.(BTW, if you're ever in SoCal and swing by Motto, get the savory-sweet pork sung souffle pancake - I normally hate pork sung and savory-sweet but this was great!)

We came in at 6:15, they close at 7 and the guy working in front said that we would be waitlisted because the kitchen was backed up and that we’d have to wait 40 mins. Mind you the restaurant was HALF EMPTY. He advised we ordered take out because it would take faster, but that doesn’t even make sense??? How would ordering take out be faster than dining in?? It’s just pure laziness from the servers

Soo bad service, I was saddened to see the poor service. In fact, the place is beautiful, but the workers.... There was a female waitress, she didn't like to say hello when she entered the cafe, she spoke very softly and was not heard.

Always wanted to eat fluffy pancakes. I thought I'd have to go to Vegas to get some, but found this wonderful place.Original fluffy pancakes are the best! (so far). I tried many others, but the Strawberry ones tasted a little artificial like those pop stick candy sticks you ate as a child. The available side dishes are really well made. I tried almost all of them.Atmosphere is modern cozy Cafe vibes. I enjoy going to this little hot spot in the mall.

UPDATE:Now that they no longer do the crazy schedules for purchasing the soufflé, i can say that their service is amazing <3Love the tree in the middle of the restaurant and their cold soufflé is delicious. I enjoy coming here every time I want to treat myself to a yummy treat.ORIGINAL POST:3rd time trying to come to this place. Mall opens at 11am on Sundays yet they tell u to be be here before. Are they insane? Everywhere and everyone will tell you the mall opens at 11am yet they expect you to come in to a closed mall because even tho the mall is closed "doors open at 8am" how am I supposed to know this? Am I supposed to be a mall employee? Am I supposed to ask em a tricky question? I refuse to try again to get food from this establishment until they get their act together and start serving people like any other restaurant in the area.

Really want to support businesses in the area but our experience was just terrible.- waitress kept dropping everyone’s pancake stack which is hugely disappointing. No one is going to wait another 30 minutes to get a new one!!! Seriously, you have one job.- stood waiting for a table while many were empty. Was ignored for a while- many items on the menu were not available. At least 3 things we wanted- service was slow even though there were enough people- table next to us left without ordering because service was so slowBrandon was great, so 2 stars despite all of the above
